CHAP 36

I heard loud sirens and car horns as soon as I gained my consciousness back.

I slowly opened my eyes despite the numbness of my body. My blurred vision gradually became clear although my eyes remained dizzy.

Different shades of lights hit my vision. There are blue, red, and white. I could feel the viscous liquid dripping from my forehead down to my face.

"Xenoah," I whispered softly as I remembered him.

I tried to close my eyes again and then slowly open them up to reduce the dizziness I have been feeling.

My vision became clearer than earlier. Little by little, I saw Xenoah's unconscious face as his body is hugging me. His whole face was bathed in his own blood which made me very nervous and scared.

“Xenoah,” I again tried to call him along with the relentless flow of my tears.

I tried to escape from his hold but my body is too weak to make a move.

"Xenoah, please open your eyes." Even though it was difficult for me to speak due to weakness and vertigo, I still tried to talk to him.
