Something soft touched my forehead. I flinched immediately, scared. Agony shot up in my whole body, and I whimpered, almost sobbing.

“Hey. Hey, it is me.” the voice was just as soft as the touch had been. And it felt familiar. 

I tried to open my eyes. Since they were swollen shut, I could barely see anything. I blinked a few times, trying to clear my vision. When I could finally see, I saw the figure of a man bent on his knees in front of me. 

“A- Adrian?” I asked, barely about to whisper through chapped lips. I had not eaten or drank anything since I had been brought to the dungeons. I think it had been more than three days because the guards came every day to investigate the truth out of me.
