JACE POV

“Seriously? I wasn’t gone five minutes!” I stare disbelievingly at Jude, who is looking a bit contrite at the moment. I almost want to laugh at the look he’s giving me, but this is a serious matter, “What the hell did he do and more importantly, how the fuck are we going to get out of this?”

“Well, the first answer is easy; he admitted to having Nessa set Ella up that night. He said he should have sent a more competent man in.”

“What!? Are you fucking with me right now?” I stare down at the heap on the floor wishing I can kill him with my own bare hands.

“I’m sorry, Jace. It kind of sent me over the edge when he revealed it.”

“Now I wish you would have let me end him!” I scowl, “But seriously, how are we going to get out of this?”

“Now that,” Jude rubs the back of his neck, “may be a little tricky... but not impossible.” He quickly adds at the end.
