Chapter 13

"Hey, are you alright?" asked his fellow stewardess.

"Yes, I'm fine. I'm just a little dizzy." He replied as he sat and held his forehead.

"If you are not in good condition, go home first and just rest. You know how important our health is in this job. It's better not to come in for a week so you can rest properly." What their purser said, so he just carried the suitcase and walked out of the airport.

After arriving in front of his house, he immediately ran inside and went straight to the sink. He felt nauseous repeatedly and his body was weak.

He opened the fridge for a moment and drank some water. He just let out a deep breath but he still felt dizzy and nauseous.

He felt that his body was very heavy and that everything around him was spinning. He just entered the room and fell down on the bed.

He was about to close his eyes when he felt nausea again. So he got up and ran to the sink again.

"What is happening to me?" he asked himself. He seemed too lazy to go to his room so he just went to the living room and sat on the sofa.

He just turned on the tv and watched his favorite show. After a while, his cellphone suddenly lit up and rang. He picked it up from the table and saw on the phone screen that it was his fiancé calling.

"Hey, where are you? Are you okay?" he asked openly when he answered the call.

"Yes, I'm fine. I'm here at home and resting. By the way, why did you get called?" he replied even though he felt like he was going to fall.

"I'm here today at your workplace because your co-worker called me and said you're sick. How are you feeling? Do you want me to come see you there now?" it worries him.

"There's no need, Leo. I'll just let it rest and maybe later it won't be gone right away. Maybe I'm just tired from our flight earlier so I'm feeling weak. But don't worry, I can still do it."

"Okay, okay babe. Just tell me if there's a problem, right? Or if you need me there right now, I'll be right there for you, okay?"

"Yes, all right babe." He said with a nod.

"Alright babe, get some rest. I love you." After saying this, she immediately hung up on the boyfriend and returned to the living room.

As soon as he sat down on the sofa, he ran to the sink again and became nauseous.

At that time, he felt that his body was about to give up, so he suddenly sat down on the floor and held tightly to its side.

He took deep breaths over and over again but his dizziness only worsened. He slowly opened his eyes again, but his vision was blurry and everything around him was spinning.

He just crawled to the sofa where he had placed his cellphone earlier. And when he found it and got it, he immediately pressed the contacts list on the phone to call Leo. But he could not read the name and number written there. Because his vision is blurry and he will give up in just one blink.

His face and back are almost sweating because of the heat he feels in his body. He just presses whoever he wants and it's up to whoever he calls.

He heard it ringing from the other line. And just a few seconds later he answered his call.

"Who is this?" he immediately said to the person he was talking to but he didn't answer him.

"Hello? can you hear me? whoever you are that I called, I'm sorry for the trouble. But can you come to my house now? please, help me-" what he was saying was suddenly cut off as he fell to the floor and dropped the cellphone he was holding. He lost consciousness but still did not hang up on him when he was talking to him earlier.

Just a few moments later, an ambulance arrived and stopped in front of his house. A familiar black car followed him and he got out of his car.

"Aha! Aha!" Robin repeatedly called and knocked on the girl's door.

At that moment he just forced the door open so they could get inside and find Ara right away.

"Wow!" he just found her lying on the floor and unconscious. He did not hesitate to pick it up and brought it inside the ambulance.

"Please, take him to the hospital immediately." He told the rescuers that's why they left his house immediately.

After arriving at the hospital, she was immediately rushed to the emergency room while Robin was still following them and holding the girl's hand tightly.

"Sorry sir, but the patient's guardian only goes so far." The nurse promised him and he was admitted inside the E.R.

Robin sat down and bowed his head. The girl's deep concern was evident on her face. So he stood up again and moved from place to place. He was restless and his heart was beating fast because he was so nervous.

A few minutes later, the doctor came out with a nurse.

"Are you the patient's guardian?" the doctor asked him, so he just nodded his head even though he wasn't sure what to answer.

"Well, congratulations! your wife is 3 weeks pregnant." He happily greeted her while shaking her hand. Robin seemed shocked by what he heard and couldn't believe it. Suddenly tears welled up in his eyes and he didn't know if he should be happy or sad about what he found out. So she is not sure if he is the father of the one she is carrying or her current boyfriend.

Soon it was taken out of the emergency room and passed in front of him.

Tears fell unconsciously as he watched the girl's face and followed her gaze.

"Wow!" but she turned back immediately when her boyfriend suddenly arrived and approached Ara anxiously.

So he didn't have the chance to see her again and hold her hand. The girl didn't even see him when she opened her eyes. Instead he just left and drove home.

But his mind was still floating, which is why he almost ran over the woman crossing the land line.

He immediately braked and was shocked by what he did. He put the car aside for a while and got out of the car.

He coughed constantly and felt like he was sick. He suddenly grabbed the pole and his face turned pale.

"You alright?" the man suddenly approached her and handed her her favorite yogurt drink.

He immediately turned to the person who spoke from the side and was shocked when he realized that it was Stephen.

"Or what? Shall we just stare at it and stand for the day?" he said jokingly to her so she seemed to feel better and accepted what he offered.

"Stephen, do you remember me?" he was curious about the gentleman and he was still winking at him.

"Why, who are you?" he asked which worried the young man.

"I mean- are you the person I considered my best friend before or the man who broke my trust? who are you there?" after saying this, Robin suddenly bowed and just grinned. Stephen just smiled as he drank from the soft drinks he was holding.

"How are you and what are you doing here today?" he said to him while patting him on the shoulder.

"Welcome back, Stephen." He said and he was emotionally hugged by his best friend.

"You fool, I still haven't forgiven you for what you did." He said mischievously as he pushed Robin. The young man smiled and they shook hands.

"So, what? shall we just say hello?" he promised the gentleman and they both got into their cars.

"So, what? old habits? whoever gets caught is the old man's life. What's the game?" he invited him to do what they often did before, that is to lead them to the young man's house.

"No problem. As long as no one cries in the end, right?" he joked and he immediately focused in front of him. They were both waiting for the go signal at the traffic lights and just a few moments later,..

One two Three.

"Hello? yes, okay. okay, I'm on my way there now." Aldrin suddenly turned the car when he received a call from his employee.

"I'm sorry Bea, but there's a problem at the store right now. They said one of their associates resigned so they're short of people." He explained to the girl.

"Ah, is that so? It's fine." He responded with a smile to her.

When they arrived at the bakery store, the young man hurriedly got out of the car and they were both surprised to see that the queue was all the way outside.

"Wow! Is this the branch you're talking about? It's ascended!" said the girl and she was just amazed at what she was seeing.

"Yup." He gave her a short reply, holding her by the young man's hand. Bea was shocked so she looked at their hands and just bowed her head, because she was ashamed of people looking at them.

"Glad your here, Sir. Al!" said one of their crew, Wendylyn or better known as Wendy.

"Sir, we can't do it anymore. The queue has almost reached the outside." Said another of his crew, Wynguard or Wyn for short, who was currently beside the counter and was busy bagging bread.

"Don't worry I'm at the counter, it's up to you to assist the customers." Aldrin said and suddenly he went inside the counter, to temporarily act as a cashier and help finish it right away.

Bea was left standing inside, while she looked around at the different types of pantries that were there.

"By the way, Sir. Al, who is he?" Wyn was weakly curious about her as she pointed to the girl.

"Ahh, yes, by the way! What the hell is that, I forgot about him." He said and he came out of the counter again to approach the girl.

"Bea," he called.

"Hmm?" it turned to him at the same time. He just took it by the hand and pushed it inside the counter.

The customers in line were looking at the two of them and couldn't help but be moved by the two of them. There are some who smile, blush, envy and enjoy them.

Wendy raised an eyebrow at the girl and looked at her from head to toe, back.

"Why does it suddenly smell fishy here inside the store?" he said covering his nose. Bea looked at what the girl said and smelled herself.

"Sorry. I think I'm the one you smell. It's better if I just go out." He was about to leave the counter but Aldrin immediately stopped him and grabbed him by the sleeve of his clothes.

"Thank you Ma'am! come again." The young man said as he handed the change to the customer, while one of his hands was clinging to the girl's dress.

"Don't mind her. That's just how Wendy is when it comes to other girls, especially when I'm close. And don't worry, she doesn't bite." Aldrin whispered in his ear and turned his attention back to the customer paying him.

Bea just sat down again and looked at the young man. He is almost ravenous for the food he sees, especially for its mouth-watering smell.

"Thank you, come back."

"Sir, won't you at least let him taste our product?" Wyn whispered as he approached her. Aldrin turned to the girl for a moment and noticed that she was just staring at the Spanish breads held by a customer.

"Do you have any more donuts? Can I please get a plate and put a donut on it, the strawberry flavor, right? So bring me some soft drinks, I'll take care of handing them to him." After he said that, he immediately left and followed what he ordered. Aldrin was left there alone, so the progress of the line slowed down a bit because he still had to put the bread they bought in a paper bag.

It seems that Bea immediately noticed that he was struggling and that other customers were also complaining, so she took the initiative to approach the young man and help him wrap.

"I'm here, just rest there." He told the girl but she didn't listen to him and just grabbed the paper bag she was holding.

"Here sir, thank you. Come back!" Bea said to the customer after handing over the paper bag.

A sweet smile drew on the young man's lips and he just let her help him. It won't stop him either and in the end, he will still be the one to follow for her.

"Thank you, come back." The girl said to the customers.

Wyn stopped for a moment, when he saw the two inside the counter. He approached Wendy and hit her on the elbow.

"Look at them. Aren't they both perfect? Then look at Sir's smiles and looks. To him, isn't it thrilling?" he whispered to the frowning girl who was watching the two.

"They're not suitable!" this constant promise to the young man. Wyn just grinned and left him with a shake of his head.

Wendy's gaze followed him while straining her eyes.

"Donuts for delivery!" Wyn said smiling as he approached Bea. The girl was surprised and looked at the donut she was holding.

"Ma'am, have a snack first so you can taste our best seller." The young man said and his narrow eyes almost closed with a smile.

"But, I'm still full." He responded weakly to her even though the truth was that he was already hungry for her appearance.

"Is that so? It's a shame if I just throw it away." The young man bowed and said with a pitiful face.

"Huh? Throw it away? Just throw it away? Never mind. It's mine and I'll just eat it." He said and Wyn quickly reached for the donut with a wide smile still on his lips.

Aldrin glanced at the two for a moment and noticed that the young man was looking at Bea strangely, so he quickly approached the girl and pulled her closer to him.

"Hey, it's you Wyn. Just help Wendy assist the customers there." He looked at the young man who suddenly got angry and just scratched his head.

"And you-" he took a tissue for a moment and wiped his lips that were stained with icing.

"Just eat slowly. No one is chasing you so don't rush because I can do it alone." He said to him and stood again in front of the cash register.

Bea was stunned and followed the young man next to her. Suddenly, his heart beat faster and he also felt nervousness in his chest. He just shook his head and pinched his other cheek.

"Wake up Bea! wake up! don't give in to temptation. You are in reality and not in fantasy." He whispered to himself as he turned his back to Aldrin. Then he immediately ate the whole donut and drank some soft drinks.

He returned to his seat again and faced the customers.

"Three hundred and eighty all, Ma'am." Aldrin said to the female customer but she ignored him and focused her attention on the girl next to him. So he turned to Bea for a moment and almost laughed out loud when he saw her face still covered in icing on the chin, on the side of the mouth and with a speck on the teeth.

"Thank you, come back-" Bea stopped suddenly when she looked at Aldrin who was blushing and holding back her laughter.

"Aldrin, are you alright?" he said to the young man, so he sat down for a moment and laughed.

"What is happening to you?" he said with surprise on his face. After a few moments, Aldrin stood up again and faced the customers.

"Bea," he called in a serious voice.

"Oh, why?" replied the girl turning to him. He bit his lip and still suppressed his laughter.

"Why, why? You were just laughing at that, you didn't tell me." Bea said that the two eyebrows meet.

"Bea," he called the girl again but she ignored him.

"Hey, Bea."

"Bea,"

"Bea?" this time he turned to the girl. He noticed that she had been looking at him for a while but he was only saying her name.

He bit his lower lip again and stifled a laugh.

"Okay, okay. I won't fool you anymore. But I just have one question for you."

"What?" he said with his eyebrows meeting and frowning. Aldrin approached him for a moment and whispered in his ear.

"Did you eat the whole donut earlier?" he said which surprised the girl and was immediately reflected on her phone screen. He almost turned his back

in shame and wiped the part of the icing that looked like it was put on with a tissue.

He also drank soft drinks and simply gurgled in his mouth to get rid of the stains on his teeth.

Aldrin glanced at the girl and she just smiled on her lips.

As soon as I opened my eyes, I saw Leo slumped in the chair with his head bowed and seemed to be deep in thought.

"Babe?" I called him weakly. He quickly turned to me and stood up.

"How are you feeling?" he said and I could feel the coldness in his voice.

"Is there a problem?" I asked him but he didn't answer right away.

"Leo, what's wrong?" I got up from the bed and held his hand but he suddenly avoided it.

"Why don't you tell me the problem, Leo?" I asked him again and he just turned his back.

"How can I understand you if you don't want to tell me what you think? Is there anything I should know?" I got up for a moment and walked closer to him.

I was just surprised when I heard her heavy sobbing. I stopped behind him and I wanted to calm his mood but it seemed like all his emotions were accumulated at that time.

I left him like that for now. I feel that he is not ready to face me and tell the truth. However, as I hear her heavy sobbing, my heart is slowly being pierced.

I do not know. I'm not sure. But I am very nervous and uneasy about our situation.

It was only a few moments before the dark and looming thunder subsided. He wiped himself and slowly faced me.

"Leo, what's the matter?" I said while his head was still bowed and he grabbed my shoulder.

"It's all right." The first words I heard came from his mouth and there were tears in his eyes.

"Are you sure everything is really okay?" at that moment I was also in tears. It hurts me when I see him like that. I'm not used to it. The pain of seeing him hurt and not being able to look directly into my eyes.

"Ara," he called softly. Then he held my shoulder tightly as his tears fell.

"I.. I want to ask you.. something." he stammered.

"Alright, what's that?" I'm shaking and don't know what to do. He took a deep breath and rubbed his eyes.

"What are we really?" he said and he stared at me.

"What do you mean? Aren't we.. we,"

"What am I really to you?" the tone of his voice suddenly changed. I feel the anger, sadness, regret and sadness in his eyes.

"Why don't we just be real with each other, Ara?" he swallowed deeply and bowed.

I couldn't answer him because I was still confused by what was happening and it was as if I was changing the man in front of me now.

"I want to know. I hope you answer me truthfully." He said at the same time he raised his head and looked into my eyes again.

"Do you love me? or do you really love me? or did you even love me?" words that are easy to say, understand and answer. But at that moment I was confused. I can't understand and I don't know the right answer.

I was just looking at him silently and at the same time tears were falling from my eyes.

I also saw her tears one after another and she just looked away. He amused himself in another direction and bit his lower lip steadily.

I just bowed down and forced myself to speak in front of him.

"I'm sorry. I'm really really sorry." Suddenly I started crying and I feel like it's so heavy. He held me by my arm and gently leaned me on his shoulder. He hugged me very tightly and I hugged him the same way.

"I'm ready to forget everything, because I love you so much. I will accept everything as well as the baby in your womb. I will take care of him and love him like my real child." He whispered in my ear. I was stunned for a moment by what he said. I let go of him and looked at him in surprise.

"What did you say? Did I hear you right?"

"You don't know? You're 3 weeks pregnant, Ara." I was so surprised that I suddenly sat on the floor.

"Wow!" he said and he also sat in front of me.

"What you said isn't true, isn't it? Tell me, please, that it isn't true!" I begged him and tightly held his sleeves.

"Hey, calm down."

"Go away."

"Hey?"

"I want to be alone first! Please, Leo. Just find someone else out there. The one more deserving than a worthless person like me!" I shouted at him. He tries to pull me by the arm and hug me but I just push him away, because he doesn't deserve to be hurt and appreciate someone like me.

"I know it's hard, Ara. I know. But I'll try to forget all of this. I can do it. We can do it together." At the end of the day, I was still crying and clinging to his sleeves.

I wonder if I deserve to be happy despite what I know or if I just deserve to be troubled and confused.

This is my problem. Problem I built on the wrong person. I used to just imagine it. To have a happy family with Robin.

But now that I'm here in that situation. It's hard to accept. Maybe because I love Leo and I don't want him to get hurt because of me. Almost everything is planned. Our marriage, as well as our future.

The only thing missing is a baby. And the one gift I've been asking for has arrived. It just happened to come from the wrong person. To the person I want to forget but I still try to remember.

To the person I want to hate and shun but I can't. I can't force him on others, because he is important. I would like to see him happy with others. But every time I think about that I feel like I'm going crazy and restless.

I want to own him, but I can't. Because the story of the story of the two of us is only up to here. I really need to let him go and I also need to heal from the past.

This is for the child I will give birth to, when the time is right. This is for the future of the child in my womb. It's better if I just go with him and continue our dream. And wander away to a place where he is not. Just living peacefully and happily together in the same small home.

Right now I also have to release this love of mine for the person I loved, for many years.

MEANWHILE, Robin was sitting in a Bar. Where they often drink and meet Stephen.

After a while, what he was waiting for came.

"Have you been here before? Sorry, there's a bit of traffic." Stephen said as he sat next to him.

"It's fine. The important thing is that you came anyway." He replied with a forced smile on his lips.

"I only have lemon juice. I'll drive after this, thank you." Stephen said to the bartender and then turned his attention back to his friend who was drinking whiskey.

"What's wrong?" he asked the young man next to him but he just grinned at him.

"I'm your friend. You know right away if I have a problem or not." He said he drank alcohol at the same time.

"Is it about the girl?" he asked as the bartender put down the lemon juice he ordered.

"About Ara." He responded quickly while staring at the glass he was holding.

"Have you two met?" Stephen turned to the young man in surprise.

"Yes," he said with a nod.

"Well then, what's the problem?" He sipped his drink for a moment, while Robin thought deeply.

"She's.. she's pregnant." He said weakly which surprised the gentleman even more.

"Really? wow! congrats, but who's the father? is it you?" after saying this, the young man turned to him with tears in his eyes.

"I don't know. But there is a part in my mind that I wish I was the father of the one she is carrying. Because I love her. I finally realize, what she really meant to me." He said with tears in the corner of his eyes.

Stephen just fell silent and bowed. He could feel his friend's heavy feelings, so he wasn't sure how to ease his mood.

"What did he tell you?" he asked and Robin just shook his head.

"She didn't say anything because I left right away. But the worst thing of all is that she is already in love with someone else. She is about to marry another man." He said in a hoarse voice. He bowed his head and tears continued to fall from his eyes.

The gentleman patted him on the shoulder and he just hugged his friend. The young man suddenly burst into tears and his every breath was very heavy.
