Chapter - 5

Yohan Dixon returned to the study room after having a delicious dinner. He had drank water but the taste and smell of the food were still fresh in his senses. He sat on his revolving chair leisurely and lit a cigarette for him. There was a lot to handle but the lunch had blown his mind completely as if the stress of the work had disappeared. He had never tasted such delicious food and the woman was serving it with her precious smile. The unhappy decision of having lunch cooked by her did not let him down. He would like to taste it in the future.

One by one, he smoked the cigarettes and soon the whole packet was emptied. He sighed and opened the drawer of the table in which a photograph was placed alone. The woman in the photograph was smiling purely and this smile shook his heart once again. Her precious and bright smile took him into his past and his eyes darkened. But then, his mobile rang which carried him back to the present.

“Hmm.”

“Congratulations, President Dixon.” It was Rudra Reddy.

Yohan Dixon placed the photograph back in the drawer and leaned back on his chair leisurely.

“You shouldn’t have tried to jump into the business where I exist.” He spoke in his low voice.

“We all lost because ‘Dixon’ is enough. Moreover, you are everywhere.”

“Sad.” Yohan Dixon put the cigarette butt in the ashtray and looked straight with his cold eyes.

“How are you?”

“As usual.”

“I was getting bored. So, I called Ryan and come to Vento City.”

“Done.” He quickly hung up the call, grabbed his coat and got out of the study room.

In the Dixon Hotel, Ryan Jenkins and Rudra Reddy have been sitting on the couch and Yohan Dixon was standing near the bar counter with a cigarette and wine.

Rudra Reddy smirked after looking at his broad back then looked at Ryan Jenkins.

“He hasn’t changed a bit.”

“He won’t.”

Listening to Ryan Jenkins, Rudra Reddy sipped the whiskey.

“He is smart and handsome. Alas! He is alone.” Rudra Reddy was sad for Yohan Dixon but Ryan Jenkins smirked at him.

“He was the same before your sister died. No one can change this man.”

Rudra Reddy leaned back on the couch and sipped the whisky with his dark eyes.

“Did he find a girlfriend?”

“Nope.”

Rudra Reddy smirked sarcastically, “Fucking emotions.”

He was sad for Yohan Dixon that he couldn’t find a woman after his sister's death. Ryan Jenkins glanced at the ashtrays on the bar counter and frowned. He put the glass back on the table and then went over there.

“You have become a chain smoker.” He was mad but couldn’t express it in front of Yohan Dixon.

As soon as he heard it, he flicked the ash in the ashtray and carelessly threw the empty packet of cigarettes.

“You should get married as soon as possible.” He wanted to see him happy and normal because he had been fed up with his cold and careless attitude towards his health. Yohan Dixon turned his head and looked at Ryan Jenkins with his heavy and red gaze.

“Wow! You look hot with these eyes.”

Yohan Dixon frowned and gulped the wine in a breath then leaned back on the counter while closing his eyes.

“Do you want to die, Ryan?” His hoarse voice was seductive and Ryan Jenkins returned helplessly to the couch.

“Don’t dare to tease him.” Rudra Reddy smirked.

“I am curious how your sister would have handled this damn attitude.” Ryan Jenkins was scared of that dangerous man.

“Are you leaving? Won’t you join us for dinner?” Rudra Reddy looked at Yohan Dixon who had picked up his blazer and stepped towards the door.

“No.”

His clear answer did not surprise them.

“I will not be able to return for a long time. Shouldn’t you stay? Ricky!” Rudra Reddy sighed when Yohan Dixon left with his shaky walk and did not reply to him.

“Where is his driver?” He asked Ryan Jenkins.

“He drives himself after drinking.”

“It is dangerous. At least you should call Nolan to pick him up.”

“Nolan doesn’t want to die.”

“What rubbish!”

The shaky footsteps entered the living room and the entire room became smelly just like every night. Again, he did not remember that he wasn’t alone in the villa so he took off his tie and threw the coat and the tie on the couch then went to the table to drink water while unbuttoning his shirt.

Sara Owen entered the living room and looked at his back hesitantly. Before she could open her mouth to talk, he had already taken off his shirt and threw it on her face unknowingly. For a while, she felt her senses became down due to his seductive body fragrance and she lowered his shirt from her face.

Yohan Dixon turned back and she saw his six-pack abs. It became awkward to face his bare torso and she turned back while biting her lips in panic. He kept glaring at her back with his heavy glare as if he had just seen her.

“I have prepared dinner.”

He lowered his gaze and glanced at his shirt in her grip near her waist. He frowned and she put the shirt on the back of the couch and left the living room to escape from the unknown silence.

Yohan Dixon was drunk but he had remembered the taste of the lunch which did not let him miss dinner. He entered the dining hall while buttoning his shirt when she was arranging the food on the table. He did not wait and began to eat even if she was present over there.

She kept standing behind his chair not to disturb him. Only the strong smell of alcohol from the man caught her senses. When he finished, he stood up and wiped his mouth then left the dining hall in his shaky walk. Sara Owen kept finishing the leftover to calm the hunger.

After completing the cleaning, when Sara Owen reached the living room, she heard that his mobile phone was vibrating in the pocket of his blazer. She raised her head and looked at the half-closed door of the master bedroom. The lights were on and so was proving that he was inside.

She did not hear his movements when she hesitantly knocked on the door thrice. She slowly entered the bedroom because the mobile phone was vibrating in the blazer's pocket frequently.

The large bedroom was decorated in white and golden and the arrangements were simple but extraordinary. She looked at the big white bed which was neat and clean. It seemed that he hadn’t slept yet. Wasn’t he inside? When she didn’t see him, she turned back to leave, just then she heard someone in the bathroom.

“Huh?” She did not care about anything and rushed to the bathroom after throwing the blazer on the bed.

Yohan Dixon was vomiting. She reached her palm, bent down and rubbed her palm on his back.

“What’s wrong? Are you fine?” She thought he had vomited because of overconsumption of alcohol.

He panted and weakly stumbled on the floor. His face was pale and his eyes were closed.

“Are you fine?” She placed her palms on his bare chest and rubbed over there in tension.

“What should I do? Please wake up.”

Yohan Dixon slowly opened his heavy eyes and looked at the woman and this sudden gaze froze her for a moment. He was feeling her delicate palms on his bare chest and she was suddenly reminded of the situation. Her panic changed into nervousness and he stared at her constantly. It was his bathroom. Why did the woman boldly enter?

They stood up and he went straight to the bedroom. To the date, no one dared to enter his bedroom in his presence. Sara Owen entered the bedroom hesitantly and looked at his strong back. Was he mad at her?

“Are you alright?” She couldn’t help but ask and he glared at her with his dark eyes which scared her and she stepped back lowering her gaze.

“Your mobile phone was ringing continuously so I had come to give it to you. I am sorry.” She quickly rushed towards the door of the bedroom to leave as soon as possible.

“Stop.”

Sara Owen could not step out and closed her eyes while holding her palms tightly.

Yohan Dixon had unbuttoned his shirt before vomiting but before he could take off it, he had to rush to the bathroom.

He glanced at the blazer coldly then looked at the woman’s back from her head to toe. Hadn’t she worn the same dress she had worn yesterday?

“Come here.”

She widened her eyes and he turned back and lit a cigarette for him. Sara Owen looked at his back in panic then stepped towards him.

Yohan Dixon sat on the couch leisurely and looked at her from head to toe. She was very young. She was naive. She was stupid. His sharp eyes fell on her slender neck on which the nail marks were not healed. There was a white bandage on her forehead and her palms were trembling a little. He parted his lips and threw a card on the table while releasing white smoke from his mouth.

“Manage expenses from this card.”

Sara Owen looked at the golden-red card on the table and swallowed saliva. Was he giving it for home expenses? He was smart.

“If you need anything, you can tell me.” These words, he had never told to anybody.

“I…want...to...” Her voice was pure just like her.

“Go on.”

She raised her eyes and looked at him but he was covered with the smoke so she found it better to lower her head again.

“I…”

“Are you afraid of going out?” Yohan Dixon flicked the cigarette ash in the ashtray.

“Huh?” She raised her head and looked at him in a daze. He was again covered with smoke.

“I am afraid they would find me once again.” Her voice was trembling.

Yohan Dixon stood up from the couch and placed his palm in his pocket.

“Go with driver.”

Sara Owen looked at his back in confusion. She was scared that the driver will not be able to beat those men.

“Is there anything?”

“Amm… No.”

Yohan Dixon threw the cigarette in the ashtray and went straight into the bathroom. Sara Owen sighed deeply and picked up the card then left the bedroom.
