“The bus is waiting”

My mother had been long awake and had already arranged all the important things I might need during my stay in the wolf academy. Right now, the bus was waiting outside, I was looking for my lucky bracelet, I had kept it under my pillow while I slept yesterday and woke up not to find it there today. It was a gift from my late father, though I had never seen him before, but, my mother said he wanted me to have it.

“Found it!” I announced to myself after taking off my lacy nightwear, it was caught in it.

“Davina if this bus takes off, I swear you’ll find your way to the wolf-“ I didn’t let her complete her statement, I appeared before her grasping onto my suitcase by my side.

“I love you mum, I’m going to “ She cut me short by dragging me into a warm hug.

“I love you more Davina, now go before the bus takes off!” She yelled. I instantly found myself dragging my suitcase over to the bus, with my mum following behind me.

“Make sure you call me when you arrive!” She screeched, I could see people seated on the bus, shooting daggers my way. Who could blame them though, I took a whole of their time.

“I will mum, I love you!” I said once I hopped on the bus, without any warning, the bus driver began to move, I almost fell, but a pair of two arms as little as mine held me firmly.

“Easy there!” She beamed at me happily, “Come take a seat beside me, I’m Marian, what’s your name?” Marian said even before we got to the seat.

“I’m Davina,” I said, whilst placing my suitcase on the top layer where all suitcases lay. After that, I took a sit.

“How excited are you to meet Alpha Raiden?” She asked, from what I’ve been able to gather about her, she loves talking a lot.

“I’m not excited,” I said very softly, for all I knew, Alpha Raidan’s minions might be traveling with us to the academy.

“Are you kidding me? Alpha Raiden is the reason I accepted this nomination, I can’t wait to meet him.” She said, she sure was excited, she even managed to get people staring at us.

“For someone, I just met, you sure talk a lot,” I said and she chuckled.

“You look nice, that’s why,” She said, I looked nice? She was certainly mistaken.

“I see,” I said.

For the rest of the ride, she kept bugging me about unnecessary topics, I was trying my best to ignore her but that was not an easy task, because, she was screaming at my face.

Immediately our bus came to a stop, everyone was eager to get off. I and Marian sat back in other not to get pushed. Soon as the number of people on the bus decreased, we both got up and headed outside the bus where everyone stood anxiously.

In a short time, everyone was out on the bus. A grumpy middle age woman stomped over to where we stood. “Girls upstairs, boys downstairs, the toilet is on the last floor, they are bathrooms on each floor though. Enjoy your stay here” The grumpy woman said dryly. She seemed very uninterested in her job.

“Hello Everyone!” A masculine voice came from behind us all, we all turned around to find a handsome young lad staring back at us.

“That must be Alpha Raiden!” Marian almost screamed, I had to shush her immediately with a light punch.

“I’m Beta Noah, you are all welcome to the wolf academy,” The brown-eyed man said, he looked about 6’4 feet tall and was undeniable handsome with his black hair laid neatly on his head, from the way he spoke nicely, I was long certain that it couldn’t be Alpha Raiden.

Beta Noah went ahead and told us about the rules and all, not just that, he shared pamphlets that had all the 15 rules neatly printed. One thing I hate so much in life is rules, they are bound to be broken.

“So we aren’t allowed to date any hot boys over here?” Well, it was as though my faith was sealed with Marian from the moment I hopped on the bus, she happens to be my roommate and we were setting our things in place.

“This is a wolf academy for learning and not a dating center.” I mocked her, she looked sad.

“They are so many hot guys out there, especially that Beta. Oh my god, I wanna get my hands on him” She said dreamily, I rolled my eyes.

Marian and I both made our beds when she decided to shut her mouth, we arranged everything in place and lit up scented candles in other to give our room a delightful smell.

“I’m hungry, what’s the time?” Marian asked. I reached out for my phone in my bag, I checked the time and it read 7:44 pm. I literally gasped, part of the rules was to not leave your room from 8 pm, and I was actually feeling the urge to pee right now, but first I had to call my mum, because, she would be worried sick by now.

“Hello, mum!” I beamed as soon she picked up the call.

“Why wasn’t your number going through?” She snapped at me, I let out a soft chortle that would go unheard by her.

“I’m sorry, we were being addressed by the Beta,” I said calmly, my urge to pee was getting greater.

“You met the Beta Already? That’s nice, did you also meet Alpha Raiden?” My mother asked.

“No, and I hope I never meet him” A pillow was thrown at me by Marian after those words flew out of my mouth.

“Be careful my dear, I would love to see you in one piece, okay?” My mother said. I chortled.

“Mum, you’ll see me in one piece. I have to pee, I’ll talk to you tomorrow!” I said. I immediately cut the call and glanced at the time, it was 8:06 pm on the dot.

“I need to pee!” I announced to Marian and began running towards the door.

“But the rules!” She protested.

“Fuck the rules!” I said and twisted the doorknob open and hurried out.

From what the grumpy lady said to us, the toilet was downstairs. Who the hell made the toilet all the day there, well, dumb Alpha Raiden of course.

I walked through the dark hallway, it was an open-roof hallway and the only means of light was with the aid of the moonlight.

Turning towards the stairs, I collided roughly with a very hard chest, I was certain it was man. I could not make out who it was though, but I could see his face a little in the dark. He was tall and towered over me like a tree. I was certain it was probably one of the boys looking for trouble.

“You are not supposed to be out by now!” He said, his voice was really deep and held authority. How dare he speak to me with so much impudence.

“And so are you, now move away before I push you off the stairs!” I snarled at him.

“Who do you think you are to use such a tone on me?” He said, from his tone, I was certain he was angry.

“I’ll speak to you in whatever tone I please, now get out of my way” I pushed passed him roughly and ran down the stairs hurriedly before I pee in front of him.

I wonder what he was doing up here when the boys were all downstairs, he was probably a pervert looking for prey.
