ZARA

The party was over and everyone have returned home, The Alpha King had a maid bring me to his room. I was really scared and happy at the same time, I had found my mate. Selena was also happy and kept rolling in my head, I could feel her happiness and our connection was stronger.

'I can feel your emotions, Zara, mate wants us. He declared you his in front of everyone in the ballroom.' Selena said. She was right, I was feeling scared, never in the history of the supernatural has an Alpha king been mated to an omega, this is the first and it's scary.

"I pray he truly does," I said. The creaking of a door opening made me shoot my head up, walking inside the room was the Alpha king and he wasn't smiling, he looked really angry and as soon as our eyes met, he hissed.

'What is wrong with mate? He looks disturbed.' Selena asked. 'Zara, go talk to him, let's see if we can make him happy.' Selena said to me. I hesitated for a while before walking over to where he was standing. I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"Are you okay, Ezra?" I asked. He clenched his jaw and gripped my arm tightly.

"Stay away from me woman!" He snapped angrily as he gazed into my eyes.

"What is wrong? We are mates!" I said, I feared that my biggest nightmare was coming to reality, my mate not accepting me.

"You are an Omega, you're worthless to me!" He said, I felt Selena whimper in my head.

"But, we are mates!" I said, he rolled his eyes.

"Stop saying we are mates, have you ever heard of an Alpha King being mated to an Omega?" He asked angrily, I nodded in Denial.

"So you are not my mate! You are an Omega and you are going to stay far away from me." He said, I and my wolf trembled as his words flowed out of his mouth.

"I love someone else," He said, my heart crumbled. He loves someone else. My wolf howled painfully in my head, I could feel the distance between us once again. She was pained. 

"But I'm your mate!" I yelled angrily, he stared at me blankly and then walked over to me menacingly. He grabbed my waist and pushed me onto his chest, he gripped my hair tightly and a stray tear fell down my eyes.

"Yes, you are my mate in the eyes of others. But not to me, you are not fit to be the Queen of werewolves, you belong as a maid." With every word he uttered, my tears flowed out of my eyes like tap water.

"In front of everyone you'll act like my mate, but when we are together, you and I are noting, got it?" He asked. I couldn't respond to him, my sobs were choking me.

"I said got it?" He gripped my hair tighter and I muttered an okay. He then loosened his grip and I fell roughly to the ground.

"You belong on the ground, you are nothing to me, I do not want you!" He said, he then turned around and looked at me irritatingly one last time before leaving, I busted into tears, my sobs filled the room as I lay on the ground, all my life I've thought finding my mate will bring me a lot of happiness, but my mate is the cause of the pain I feel right now.

‘Zara, stop crying, we can live without him.’ I heard Selena's faint voice say. I knew it hurt her to say that, I felt her pain from the rejection, our mate has just unofficially rejected us.

“Yes,” I said softly, I felt her pain wash over me. It was really painful and I couldn't help but continue to cry, I wailed painfully for what seemed like days to me. When I had finally decided to get up, I headed into the bathroom, I knew it was the bathroom because the closet was connected to it just like it was at Alpha Helen’s room.

Standing before the mirror in the bathroom, I stared at myself pitifully, no wonder my mate dosen't want me. I'm ugly, there are tons of sun burns on my face and I'm thin. Not even I would want myself. I turned on the tap and washed my face calmly, with every touch of water that touched my face, tears fell. Selena couldn’t take it anymore and began crying as well. We were so sad, my sobs filed the bathroom.

“Oh please, if you are done crying,” I heard his voice, I turned around to find him standing at the entrance of the bathroom. “Come outside and get dressed, we'll be having dinner with the family, and if you dare look sad, I'll deal with you.” He said sternly, I found myself nodding my head.

He eyed me irritatingly before walking out of the room. I followed behind him and he was standing before a dress that laid on the bed.

“Get dressed in this, they are waiting to meet you downstairs,” He said very sternly.

“But, I haven’t taken a bath.” I said, he laughed mockingly.

“Even if you bath, what difference would it make? You are an Omega, you can never wash that off.” He spat at me. I trembled a bit and bent to pick the dress. I didn’t say a word to him, I picked the dress to walked away.

“Stop!” He held unto my arm, the mate bound sent electricity flying all over my body. “I want to see your body, change here.” He said with a smirk gracing his face.

“I can’t do that, please, I’m not comfortable with that.” I said to him, he gripped my arm tighter.

“You are an Omega and it seems you are forgetting the title of who you stand before,” His grip on my arm was so tight, I felt my bones breaking.

“I’m the Alpha King,The Alpha of Alpha’s. You are under me, Omega!” His Alpha tone was conspicuous in his voice. “Now change!” He commanded and I nodded, I found myself submitting to him.

I found myself taking off my dress calmly, I was crying while I did so and he watched me, he was enjoying seeing me suffer and that’s what hurt the most.

“Look at you, you are disappointment to all women, you are very skinny and ugly. Even a male Omega will never want you, you are disgusting.” He said. I couldn’t respond to him because he was right, I’m indeed disgusting and very bad looking.

“Wait until you meet my girlfriend, You’ll understand what assets a woman is supposed to have.” He eyed from head to toe and hissed.

“Wear the dress now!” He commanded. I nodded and picked

It and wore it, it was a bit bigger than me, especially at the chest, my breast were very little so

I do not even expect it to fit properly. He laughed at the sight.

“Arrange that filthy hair of yours, Omega!” He said, it sounded just like how Alpha Helen would refer to me as. She always refer to my title like a curse.

“I don’t have a brush.” I said to him. He raised his brow

“You’ll have to get a job if you wanna stay here, you can’t just use my things for free. You have to get yours.” He said, I nodded my head.

“Here is a brush, throw it in the dustbin when you are done, got it?” He threw a brush at me, I picked the brush up and brushed my dirty blonde hair backwards.

When I was done brushing my hair, I looked for a nearest dustbin and threw it in there. I then returned back to him and he stretched his arm out. I took it reluctantly and we walked outside, There was a butler there and he bowed immediately he saw us.

We then walked over to the stairs and began walking slowly, as we approached the last stairs, I could hear the voices of people. They laughing, they all seemed very happy.

“Smile!” I heard Ezra say to me. I gulped and then forced a smile as we approached the dining which had a large amount of people seated on their chairs.

The minute they saw us, they all stood up. I couldn’t help but notice a red hair who was sending daggers my way, it was evident that she was the girlfriend Ezra spoke off. And she was indeed beautiful and compared to me. She had everything a woman is supposed to have, her hips are large and she had very huge breasts that danced on her chest as she stood. I didn’t fail to see the look they shared, he smiled at her, and she stared at him seductively.

“You all may sit!” He ordered. They all did as told and sat down, he then walked me over to a seat and made me sit.

“Everyone, This is your Queen, Queen-” He froze. He didn’t know my name, that wasn’t a shocker.

“Zara,” I said softly. Everybody seated at the table stared at us weirdly.

“Yes, Queen Zara!” He said and they all bowed their head calmly. If only they knew how much he hated me. One girl on the other hand was staring at me pitifully, when our eyes met, she smiled at me, and I smiled back. She had dark black hair and she looked very familiar to me, it felt as if I had seen her before.

I was knocked out of my thought when a maid served me food on a plate. They all picked their cutlery and began eating as soon as they were served. I didn't know how to use a fork and a knife to eat, I stared at the food nervously, I felt someone kick my foot and when I lifted my head, Ezra shot me a glare.

I picked the knife and fork up calmly, I was nervous and the knife fell. The red hair couldn’t help but laugh.

“Don’t you know how to use your cutleries?” She asked tauntingly.

“Shut up Norah, not everyone loves to make use of knives.” The girl with the dark black hair snapped at her.

“I wasn’t talking to you Lizzo, mind your business,” Norah said.

“I’ll mind my business when you stop acting like a bitch!” Lizzo sneered at her.

“That’s enough you two!” A woman said. She looked a bit old and reminded me very much of Ezra, I’m certain she is his mother.

“Sorry, Luna!” They both said in unison. Ezra rolled his eyes and ate his food calmly.

I couldn’t bear the stares I was getting and I got up. “I’m not hungry,” I said and instantly turned around and walked away at a fast pace. I ran upstairs and ran towards the room. Immediately I got there, I slumped on the floor, Selena was really sad and I began to cry.

“I wanna go back to Willow!” I said to Selena. She also missed Willow a lot.

‘We can’t go back, Alpha Helen hates us.’ Selena said. She was right, I have no where to go to. My mother and father are dead, I’m the only existing child. I have no one in this world. My mind couldn’t help but help but drift to a moment I had shared with my

mother when I was ten.

*FLASHBACK*

8 YEARS AGO

I laid on my mother’s lap, wiggling my leg as she made me laugh. She was tickling me and I couldn’t help but laugh like a maniac.

“Mama stop, my stomach is hurting.” I said to her and she chuckled.

“Sorry my love,” My mother said as she placed me back to the ground.

“Where are you and Daddy going to?” I asked her.

“The Alpha has sent us to deliver a gift to the Alpha King.” My mother said.

“It’s too far mama, I am scared. What if you don’t return?” I asked. I was really scared, I had a very terrible nightmare last night.

“We will return, and if we don’t, you’ll find your mate someday and he’ll love you more that we ever did.” My mother said. I giggled.

“No one can love me more than you ever did mama!” I said, there is certainly no one who can love me better than them.

“Oh my dear, Zara, there is and he is out there somewhere, he’ll love you more than you’ve ever imagined, I promise!” My mother pecked my cheeks.

“Okay, but I want you, Baba, and my mate. Then I’ll get all the love in triple.” I said and my mother laughed.

“Oh Zara, you do know we cannot live forever, huh?” My mother asked. I pouted.

“No mama, I want you to live forever, I love you so much.” I hugged her and began crying, I cannot bare to lose her. I love her so much.

“Zara, I love you too. Stay with aunt melody, I’ll see you tomorrow when we return.” She said, I nodded my head. I hugged her and waved at her as she walked out of the door, never to return again.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

My mother was wrong, my mate is the worst thing that has ever happened to me, I miss them

even more at the moment. After they had died, Aunt Melody died two years later, I became alone and I had to take up her as job as a maid In the Alpha’s house, I got a roof over my head and free food, and I made a good friend, I miss Willow a lot and I can’t imagine how she must be feeling without me.

The door pushed open and Lizzo walked in, she looked at me pitifully as I tried to stand up.

“Sorry about my brother, and Norah!” She said while she took calm strides towards me.

“Ezra is your brother?” I asked and she nodded. Now I understood why I felt like I had seen her face before.

“My name is Elizabeth, but you can call me Lizzo!” She stretched her arms out to me. “I would love to be your friend.” She said. I couldn’t help but nod happily with a smile gracing my face, a friend.

“Is Norah Ezra’s girlfriend?” I asked and she nodded.

“I’m sorry.” She said, she sounded pained. She was staring at me with evident pity.

“Come, let’s go to my room, you can stay there with me. I don’t think Ezra would want to

Share a room with you,” She said, her words pained but I nodded my head, there is no way I want to share this room with Ezra, he is evil and God knows what he’ll do to if he returns.

Turning around to meet the door, Ezra was standing there with his hands crossed across his chest.

“You are going no where, Zara”
