Chapter 2: That strange girl

CADEN:

I fall down on the fluffy bed of ice with my head facing upwards to the dark sky. The icy downy flakes are coming down to reach out to me giving me the cold sensation on my skin. My eyes get closed as I fall down but they are conscious enough to be opened one more time.

My eyes open slowly as I see the light passing through the falling snow making them extremely beautiful with luster and shine in them. I have never seen such a beautiful scene. For the first time in last one year, I feel so much calm and peaceful as I look up in the sky.

“Who… the hell… are you?” the sharp, loud yet stammered voice penetrates my ear. The voice is absolutely of female and she might not be more than twenty or so.

I would like to look at her face. She just hit a twenty two year old guy and made him fall on the ground. I am so much curious about her now. But the light she is holding is showing everything except herself.

“Me? I…,” I try to stand up from the ground but before I could do that she hit me one more time on my back making me stumble on my own legs and fall on the ground.

“What the fuck? Are you even going to listen to me for god’s sake?” I shout at her. After hearing my voice she tries to run away with her quick steps. I get up as quickly as I can and run after her. Her speed is no comparison to mine. I get closer to her even before she could imagine. I grab her by her waist making both of us fall on the ground.

She is below me. I can hear her fast-paced breathing but I cannot visualize her. The light falls some centimetres away from me and I can easily grab it with my hands. I quickly catch it and light the torch on her face.

But as soon as I take a look at her face, I couldn’t help but stare at her face for a long time. My voice stops right at my throat and something weird is happening inside me. I feel strange like I have never known about this feeling for the last twenty years of my life. I couldn’t help but agape at the beauty in front of me.

I turn speechless and my eyes couldn’t help but stare at her without even blinking for a single time.

She is so much beautiful. I can still see her beautiful long and dark eye-lashes. She has white skin covered with all reddish blushes all over her face. I don’t know whether that is because of the extreme coldness or because of the weird position we are actually in.

“Gosh!” she shouts and tries to stand up and fight against me but I hold her arms hard and turn the lights to another direction, so that she can open her eyes without any problem.

As the focus of light is less on her face, she opens her eyes slowly and when she opens them and stare back at me, I feel as if my heart stops to beat right at that moment. I am speechless one more time.

She has such a beautiful eyes. They are blue just like my mom. They are deep and they tell me that she is going through something deep right now. Her sclera is all reddened like she has cried for a long time and her muscles around her eyes is swollen.

She looks as if she is going through some blue. She breaths quick as her eyes deepens on mine. I can see the vapor she is breathing out floating in between us.

She is scared.

She is shouting inside her heart right now and telling me to let her go right away.

She is trying to run away from the world but she isn’t speaking anything to me. She is speechless. Just like me. Or maybe she wants to speak thousands of words but her voice is stuck somewhere in her throat.

But whatever she is doing, she looks absolutely stunning. She looks absolutely beautiful. I cannot help but move my eyes to her lips. Her upper lip is perfectly lined just like a leaf while her lower lip is plump. Her lips are the type that I will never get tired of kissing all the day. They make me want to kiss her so much.

“Leave me!” she says. Her voice seems to be scared, slow and quite low this time. Like she is pleading to me to leave her right now.

Honestly, I don’t want to leave her. I want to hold her all the time just like this. She is so much beautiful that she makes me not to leave her even for a second. But I don’t want to see her sad.

Yeah!

It’s not been even half an hour that I have met her but I already feel so much sad seeing her sad. God damn! I feel for her.

I feel something kind for someone in this last one year and that makes me smile on my own without realizing myself.

“Please! Leave me,” she says me one more time and this time tears roll down her eyes and they land on her brown hair.

“Hmm…Yeah…I…am…,” I am about to apologize to her which I have stopped to do but before that I see drops of blood falling on her cheek suddenly.

“You…You have blood on your cheek,” I say.

“What…?” She tries to free her hands from mine and this time I don’t stop her from doing so. She slowly touches her own cheek and sees the blood herself. Her eyes enlarges as she sees the blood in front of her eyes and she shouts like an idiot in front of me making me avoid her all of a sudden.

“What the hell? Why are you shouting?” I say as I try to shuffle my head and find out that the blood is actually bleeding from my head.

She is still shouting on the ground like she is being traumatized right on the ground. I hold her hand and pick her up from the ground trying to make her stand.

“Would you stop doing that? You’re the one who hurt me and I am the one who is actually bleeding. I just don’t understand why the hell are you shouting right now?” I shout at her.

She looks pale all of a sudden and her eyes start to close slowly and she falls right on my chest.

What? What the hell is this?

Come on! I am the one who needs support right now. I am the one who need to be treated. If this was my home, I would have been accompanied by wholesome of doctors but here, I have to struggle with the girl who attacked me and have fallen right here on my chest.

What could be worse than this?

“Alright! Don’t blame me tomorrow morning,” I say as I hold her up in a bridal style and walk towards the lodge. It takes me almost ten minutes to reach the lodge and the whole lodge is already closed. Only the lights on the patio and my room are lit over there.

I want to ask her where does she belong to?  I want her to leave at some safe placei I don’t want her to be hurt and be attacked by someone on the way.

And I don’t see anything nearer than the Freckles Lodge and I don’t she would be safer in other place rather than with me. So, I decide to take her along with me. I take her to the room I am staying at and lay her on the bed and try to take her back to consciousness.

I sprinkle some water in her forehead and try to wake her up. After few seconds of trying she opens her eyes slowly and tries to decipher what is going on in there.

“You okay?” I ask.

She slowly wakes up and looks around and then to her own body like I have done something wrong to her body.

“Hey! Hey! You don’t have to do that. I did nothing wrong to you. You just passes out in that heavy snowfall and I just brought you over here. You… You can just take rest,” I say as I turn around and sit on the chair next to the bed.

My head hurts like hell and I haven’t even sterilized my wound and after carrying her in this massive snowfall, I feel so much tired and so much sleepy. I really need some rest.

So, I close my eyes even before realizing anything I fall asleep. But at some moment at night, I feel like I have been touched by someone.

Like someone is caressing my hair.

Mom! Is it Mom?

I want to see her. I want to feel her. Mom! I missed you so much.

I gently open my eyes and look at her. But it’s not mom. It’s the same girl whom I brought into my room last night. She is helping me with the wounds. She is treating me right now. She is standing in front of me. Her face isn’t facing me and she doesn’t know that I am awake and am looking at her.

It seems like she has started to treat me some moments ago. Seems like she is already finishing it. She sits down and kneels in front of me as she finishes and I close my eyes as soon as possible pretending to be asleep.

“I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I just thought you were harmful man to me and I have never seen you before,” she says and I can hear her sobbing.

Why is she sobbing? Does she need to sob for just that matter?

I feel bad for her. My heart is aching hearing her sob like that. She tries to keep it low but I am not asleep and I can hear everything.

God! Damn! I just met her few hours ago and here I am already thinking about her. My whole mind is occupied with her thoughts and my whole conscious mind wants to stop her from crying, hug her and console her.

I gently open her eyes and see that she is palming her face with both hands and sobbing. I don’t want to disturb her. I want her to take her heart out whatever the reasons maybe. I watch her cry for few minutes and then she frees her face from her palms.

As soon, as she frees that she stares back to me.

“You’re awake?” she gets shocked. I gently nod my head and want to know so much things about her. Why did she cry? Why was she being like that? What is she going through? But I couldn’t. I’m a stranger and that would be weird to do right at the moment we meet.

“I’m sorry,” she says and tries to walk away from there but I hold her hands right at that moment.

“Do you need a hug? A warm and consoling one,” I say making her kneel on the same position as before.

Her eyes say yes. I can read her expression but she doesn’t speak a single word. I smile and gently pull her into my arms and hug her. She doesn’t say anything. She just rest her head on my chest like she has been wanting to be consoled.

She pulls away after few minutes and gaze at me. Please don’t look at me like that. Please! I can’t resist you for god’s sake.

She looks down and feels sorry for looking at me like that. I don’t want her to feel sorry for whatever she feel. So, I pull her towards me and without any delay I press my lips on hers. I know she is shocked to the hell but I don’t find anything consoling for her than this.

She doesn’t react on it but she doesn’t resist at all. She feels like some doll for a few seconds but after few seconds she starts to react on it. She is kissing me back. She is holding me back. Her hands are running through my shoulder and to my neck and it is making me so much elated.

We pull ourselves away from kissing each other and look at each other. Her eyes are tired and she is looking at me.

“Do you want it?” I ask. She doesn’t speak for a few seconds and then smiles with a faint smile on her face.
