Chapter 5 - It Hurts Too Bad!

Varonica was very happy to know that her best friend had a good time without knowing about the tornado named Ashton who had made his re-entry into Bella's life.

"He won't come again." was all Bella hoped for she didn't want a second encounter with Ashton at any cost.

She went out of Bella's room to sleep in her room. Bella closed the door and tears started brimming in her eyes. Her silent sobs were taking a toll but she palmed her mouth, muffling her cries before they could turn worse.

Her legs felt wobbly, they weren't able to hold the weight of her body, she leaned on the door and let her body slide down. She clutched her knees and took sharp breaths to steady her heart beat.

I won't ever let you cry Bella.

But who had known that one day Ashton would be the sole reason for every tear she shed. He promised to be the reason for her happiness but did otherwise. She knew it now but it was too late, she was broken already.

You are my shining star Bella.

But who knew he would be darkness to her life. Bella closed her eyes shut tightly in an attempt to kick his words out of her mind which were haunting her like a prey.

Bella Evans, the day I met you, was the best day of my life.

She slammed her hands at her ears to block his ringing voice but how could it help anyway when that piercing voice was inside her head. Her throat felt dry from continuous crying and she refused to open her mouth as if she was drained out of all energy.

Bella tried to drag myself to bed but all in vain. She was tired. Tired of everything. The tears which were threatening to flow a few milli seconds earlier were dried now. From hurt to hatred her emotions changed.

" I hate you Ashton. I hate you so much."

" You are a liar, the biggest liar I have ever met, Ashton Blair."

" What did you say that the day I met you was the best day of your life?"

" lie! Everything he said was a bloody lie."

Bella didn't want to cry. Not anymore. Not for him. She had enough of him, he didn't exist for her anymore. She would forget that there even was a day when their paths met.

She gripped the handle of the door and stood up with its support. And like a lifeless human body she forced herself to reach till the bed and closed her eyes to sleep with anger in them for him. But most importantly, determination. Determination to forget him.

Ashton woke up in the middle of the night. It was two in the morning and his head was paining like hell. He clenched his head as alcohol had started affecting him. Damn this hangover.

He went down the stairs somehow to get black coffee or maybe lemon juice or anything that would make his hangover go. Stumbling over his own feet, he managed to get into the kitchen.

He squeezed lime in glass while remembering her face. He had never got it why but he had never been able to keep her out of his brain, maybe her name, her face was imprinted in his heart from the day they met her.

Ashton smiled at himself while pouring water in glass and grabbed it. That's what she had done to him. She had changed him. From the time his eyes had landed on hers.

Instead after their first encounter Ashton had done things or behaved the way he would have never believed he would. He had never smiled for no reason, he had never cared about others feelings except his friends, he had never let his emotions lead his life, he had never done any of it, until he met her.

After meeting her everything changed. Bella made him learn the importance of people, she taught him how to be nice, she made him feel nice in being nice, she made him understand that letting his emotions take over him sometimes wasn't bad, it was okay.

He sat near the window of his room with lemonade in his hand. Wind was blowing in a soothing manner, it was chilled outside but relaxing. Branches of trees were swinging with a cold breeze and the sky was full of stars.

Stars.

Millions of stars out there in the sky.

But my heart beats for the one who removed the shadows of darkness from the life of this monster.

My star, my Bella.

" Darn it. So cheeky." he mumbled but the smile on his face didn't go away. He sipped lemon juice while looking outside. His head was still throbbing a little but lemonade helped to some extent. And he enjoyed the chilly weather with a sad smile, reminiscing the time he couldn't have back.

Ashton was sitting at the edge of the window, he was living back the time when things were so perfect and beautiful between him and Bella, like he had forgotten what had happened tonight, like he didn't remember how Bella didn't even look at him when they met after such a long time, like he forgot it all or at least tried to.

He closed his eyes and suddenly Bella's face came in front of him. The face he loved and adored but not like this, she looked cold. That look was eating him up from inside.

She was looking blank and cold out of every emotion. Her eyes had turned stoned and she turned to go away from him as if to never come back. He could feel it. He could feel her leaving him for forever.

His grip on glass got tight and he opened his eyes with a jerk. His eyes were glassy and welled up but he didn't let tears flow and wiped those tears stubbornly with the back of his palm.

He drank juice in one go and kept it aside. He was looking aloof and shattered but there was no one to collect those shattered pieces and mend the pain.

But he knew he needed to be strong. He needed to be stronger if not for him than for Bella. He couldn't lose hope so easily, even without trying.

Ashton! You and me, forever.

Us, will never break apart.

A sad smile occurred at his face as he reminisced about what she had said. It gave him strength. Strength to fight for them, for what he had lost. And he wasn't going to accept his defeat, not without giving all of him.

It's not the end, until you admit, it is.

Bella's words echoed and filled Ashton with all new energy of getting her back into his life. And his smirk came back as he knew what he was going to do now.

"You said right Bella. It's not our end." he said with confidence.

I won't let you go Bella."

He steadied himself and went to bed. Stretching his body he laid down and covered himself with a duvet with a smug smile. He took something from the bed side table and caressed it ever so lovingly. And after sometime kept it back.

I still remember it Bella."

".... remember our first meeting."

"And we haven't met to be distanced."

And Ashton slept with hopes and determination.
