CHAPTER 52

I was too dumbfounded by that whole meeting that I didn't say a word the whole way back to the packhouse. I was confused and grateful and a little emotional about it. But when we got home all I could feel was relief.

I got out of the car and I stood there staring at the packhouse like a huge weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I felt completely free. There was no one coming after us, at least no one that we knew about, and I felt like this was really the beginning of a new chapter for us.

That we could actually start our lives finally. As a family. Together. And that no one was standing in the way of that happening.

Asher was about to walk up the stairs when he saw me and he walked back over to me and he cupped my face in his hands.

" Are you alright?" He asked.

" I actually feel, great. I feel free." I say. And he smiled at me before he leaned down and kissed me.

" We are free. Now, how about we go in and see about trying for another baby?" He asked smirking at me
