Chapter 43: Step 2

Nervousness instantly turned to annoyance.

Aria was still sitting on the chair while holding Leslie's sleeves. Her eyes look reddish and moist as if she's about to cry any minute now. Leslie is leaning close to the table to get a clear look at Phyllis' facial expressions.

Phyllis shook her iced coffee again before sipping on it. She leaned back on her chair with a bored look on her face.

Earlier she was feeling kind of nervous since she knew that these two might try to do something to her just because of her relationship with Zacharias. And it turns out that she's right, which she finds annoying.

She treats everyone on the set politely because she respects them. She has a huge respect for the shining industry that she grew up watching. Though she can't join it, she still does her best to support it.

It's just Aria and Leslie are openly showing their dislike of her. And she can't do anything about it.
