50 || Half-heartedly

As Shane hopped in the car after finishing his activities in the school, the driver revved the engine.

As he looked outside of the glass and found a little girl walking by the sidewalk holding a young man's hand, his mind replayed his time with Angel and a smile adorned his face on its own.

But Lilian not recognizing him bothered him.

He kept his head on the headboard, his eyes closed. His mind was still buzzing with questions and demanding some answers.

Did Lilian really not recognize him? How come?

His phone rang off pulling him out of his thoughts.

He took out the phone thinking who could be it only to find it was Willow. As he answered the call, a cute baby voice came, "Uncle Shane, I came to meet you but Granny said you are out of town."

It was Rose, Aiden and Willow's daughter. Her voice complaining and Shane could imagine her pouting.
