As Emily was hanging out with Mark and Jessica at the game house, she kept checking her phone as if she was expecting a call or message. Emily left the house after making sure Amber had left and texted Eddy once again about their discussion. She and Eddy were good friends for a long time, way before he met Amber and asked her out. Tom got home in the evening after canceling the meeting and met his mom preparing a large amount of food, so he wondered what was going on. “Is something happening? Amber dressed for work the following morning with the determination to turn down the offer and submit her already written resignation letter. She could not get over the guilt of having to deceive many people just because someone told her to, in return for fame and filling her pocket. She escorted her mother back to the hospital where she stopped to have a word with her doctor about her current situation. “I think we will be able to see a donor faster than we expected because some of the patients pulled out of the treatment list. She told Emily that she would be absent at the house for a few days after dropping her things at home. Emily told her not to worry about her since she was already back on her feet now and moving around and just living her own life, so she went over to Eddy’s place. “You are not going to work?”, Eddy asked in surprise when he saw her at his door. “I am taking a leave for now, so I will be spending a few days here”, she said and pushed her way in. She had bought groceries from the store, wine and fruit to keep herself busy and well-fed for the days she would be spending with him. They finished dinner and played several games before settling down to watch a movie while munching on snacks and wine. They took wine to the extent that they started feeling hot and tipsy. Tom has been furious all day because of what happened at the office. He spent all day trying to fix the error that was made by the carelessness of his secretary, but no matter how he tried to cut it short, the loss was still more than he could imagine. The café had ordered a large amount of ingredients, so the supermarket offered to deliver them in the company’s van on their behalf. “Amber, you should go with John for the delivery and also make sure to find out what they need next, so they don’t place the order at another mart”, the manager instructed. She got into the van, and after fifteen minutes' ride, they pulled up in front of the café, and she got down from the van as Emily and Eddy walked out of the café.
