Being engrossed in her thoughts, the pot began to overflow, and only the sizzle of the liquid hitting the burner brought her back. She quickly got the pot off the heat, took control of the situation, and cleaned the mess. After a few minutes, the meal was finished, and she separated it into two bowls for them and brought it to the table.

“Soup’s on. Literally. He, he.” Sara said, placing the bowls of vegetable soup on the table.

“Oh, good. I haven’t had a home-cooked soup since____forever.” Blake said, placing his hand on his chin to reflect on the last time he had soup.
