firebird deserts

Chapter four.

Subtitle : firebird deserts.

** general POV **

Melanie ran as fast as her legs could carry her.

She was crying all the way as she ran through the bushes of the pack.

Her old pack.

She felt cold, miserable.

Rejected and overly she was out of breath.

She hated everyone in her pack.

She just wanted to disappear and never come back.

"Y'all don't want to see me right? I'll leave but I swear your all gonna pay someday... I don't know how but you'll all pay! "

She snapped in her frial mind and kept running.

She would stumble and fall many times but she was already getting numb.

Her brain was not registering the extreme pains anymore.

Her mind was set and she was angry, and mad.

Finally after running for more than ten kilometres she was able to reach the pack borders.

She stopped and fell to the floor as she passed out.

** Melanie's POV **

I blinked my eyes opened as I stared at the bushes that surrounded me.

I made to wriggle my body but discovered I was tied to a three.

My whole body hurt like a b*tch but I couldn't move.

No one was around and I didn't remember how I got tied up to a three in the first place.

I winced in pains and shut my eyes waiting for whosoever tied me to the three to return.

I was waiting for the worst.

Less than twenty minutes later two rogues appeared.

They were carrying with them a basket of fruits and a bowl of water which I presumed was fetch from a nearby river

I felt thirsty immediately.

"ooh... Our cheeky young lady has just woken up. How cool, how are you sweetie? "

One of the guys asked as he approached me. I was as scared as a cat as i was tied to the three.

"what... What do you want? Let me go this instant! "

I snapped.

I was surprised where i got the courage from.

"we don't plan to keep you. If you comply with us and give us what we want we will let you go. We don't plan on adding to our team of two, we are already suffering from hunger as it is"

The second one who was not playful at all and looked scary uttered as he dropped the basket and walked towards his colleague.

"please... I'm a weak girl. I'm no wolf and I don't have any powers or anything to offer you. Please let me go.. "

I begged as tears streamed down my face.

"well.. That's not exactly what we are looking for. It's not something only wolves have. All ladies have it so I guess you should figure it out yourself,your not a kid.. "

The second guy added looking straight into my eyes.

I widened my eyes.

They wanted to have sex with me before letting me go.

Hell no!

"over my dead body will I let you do that to me! "

I snapped and I saw a glint of anger in the yes of the two guys.

"grab her and undress her, then tie her back to the tree let's see how she'll help herself out of the situation. We planned to do it in a convenient way but you left us no choice."

The first guy mutters and the other guy walked towards me shortly yanking my pants down.

I let out a long yelp as he grabbed my hoodie trying to remove it without untying me.

A hard slap landed on my face shortly.

"young b*tch. Only rogues leave in this damn forest so no one will come to your rescue.

Give up already! "

The guy snapped and I sniffed.

I was having a hard time as my face sting hard due to the slap.

The guy brought his hands to my face and carrased my face slightly.

"you look kinda ugly but it's okay.

We're not after that though..."

The guy snapped and pulled up my hoodie.

He threw it to the floor and brought his hands to my body.

He caressed it softly and I cussed and spit right into his eyes.

"b*tch!"

He snapped and brought his hand to slap me once more but before he could reach my face and arrow came flying from no where right to his hands.

"aaaaarghhhh! "

He yelled as he hold his hands and fell to the ground on his knees.

The arrow had went right through his palm and stucked out towards the other part.

Another came right to his legs and he yelped in pains again.

I whimpered and looked at my saviour.

It was a blond hair girl dressed like a soldier.

The other guy ran away as fast as his legs could carry him the moment he saw the girl.

She hung the arrow right at her back and came to me,untying me.

The wounded guy was still on the floor.

She helped me dress up as she kept quiet.

After that she turned around to leave.

"you should get back to your pack. If you don't have one then look for a group of rogues and join them. Or you'll be dead before evening! "

The girl snapped icily and walked away.

"wait..... "

I called and walked towards her limping all the way.

She stopped but didn't turn to look at me.

"thank you! "

I appreciated sincerely smiling ruefully at her.

she walked away again when she heard what I wanted to say.

"can you please let me join you? "

I asked her as I tried very hard to catch up with her.

"no! "

She snapped.

I was disappointed.

"can you at least show me to the river to get some water? "

I asked her.

She stopped and started towards a different direction.

I went after her immediately.

The two ladies sat on a stone in in front of a huge river.

"that's a sad story... But sorry I can't take you along with me. I'm a wanted meat now so you have to go alone.. But you won't be able to make it even a single day on this rough hills.

You saw what those two rogues where trying to do to you. "

The lady whom I happened to find out was named Charlie sighed and said.

I literally was afraid to the bones.

"Isn't there any escape route from this desert. If only I can get to the human world I'll never return here.. "

I sighed and said as I took a bite from the apple I had.

"there are only two routes out of this damn woods.

The first is the main route. And that means that you'll have to pass through five different packs which is a no go area, rogues ain't allowed to pass through any pack, you have to be a member of a pack that has Alliance with that pack to gain passage. You'll be killed just by stepping your feet in the first pack.

The second and impossible route is the firebird desert. It's a dry desert, if you stand on top of the high hill behind us you'll be able to see it.

Legends called it the desert and home of the Phoenix queen, and this is no friendly beast. According to. Stories she is a really huge firebird,next to the size of a dragon.

She can consume one in her flame of fire and kill that person without any trouble.

No one has ever survived her attack. No one has ever been successful to pass through her desert. Te phoenix queen is said to be old and the last of her kind... "

Charlie explained to me.

I sighed.

" at least I'll won't be killed by a cruel pack of wolves. I find the story of the Phoenix absurd an unreal so it may just be rumors.

It may not be real so why not try out the route.. "

I muttered and Charlie's eyes widened in shock.

"Don't tell me you are planning on following that route no are you... I won't stop you either. Rest in peace in advance. "

Charlie sneered and I sighed.

I really don't have any other option do I?
