SEVENTEEN: DINNER IN BED

I blinked frequently, scared of Dominic’s wrath. From the time I came here, he did not show his anger towards me. But that didn’t mean he wouldn’t.

I gathered my courage and said with a straight face, “I do not wish to be with you.”

Dominic stood in front of the open double doors and his eyes narrowed at me, annoyance building in his eyes. He closed the doors with a thud and my heart almost came to my throat.

He walked to the bed and raised a brow, “And why do you not?”

My jaw clenched. Wasn’t it obvious?

“You brought me here against my will. I do not want to share anything with you.” I said, the flames of anger burning in my head.

His face darkened with a precarious look in it and he leaned forward, his hands resting on the bed as a support and he stared at me. His ripped shoulder muscles peeked through the fabric of his black shirt.

“I told you to be careful with your words, kitten. You don’t know what would land you to danger,” he said, his voice low and the hint of warning in those

I can’t believe people are commenting about Avery’s attitude! She’s the only rational person in the story so far! He’s an abusive ar$whole who seriously needs to learn respect and the true meaning of ‘love’, because all he has done so far is force himself and his own wishes on her.
