It wasn't until they got halfway down the hall did she notice that Xander had his arm wrapped around her and his nose in her neck. She could feel his legs brushing against her dress as they walked and she realized that he was marking her with his scent.

He liked to cuddle with her anyway so this didn't seem too awkward and she noticed that the others paid no attention to the actions that the prince was doing.

Soon they stood at the top of the staircase that led down to the ballroom. At that moment they were out of sight and Maya was whispering to the announcer that the royal family had arrived. Even Xander's sister was there with her mate and their daughter.
