Scarlett:

I ran my fingers through my hair as I untangled it before bringing the brush. I couldn’t help but feel thankful for finally being able to move my hand without feeling like it was about to fall off. The past few weeks have been hell on me as it was without being able to mobilize it, and I know for fact that I didn’ want to go back to living through that again.

Having taken the cast off two days ago, I still needed a bit to be able to move it completely, but it was a start, and that was something to hold onto. At least, I wouldn’t have to rely on a maid to help me with simple tasks like cutting a tomato when my muscles went numb.

I smiled as I stared at my reflection. My face has regained its color, and I have added the few pounds that I have lost with everything that has happened after I got shot. I was also glad to see that Isabella and Sienna’s treatments, nutrition wise, were working. The family has silently decided to spend more time together after everything has been set
