Just the start

"Wake up Chloe!"

'Crap! You over slept again and now moms screaming for you, can't believe you hit the snooze button again' internally yelling at my self once again. I get up stretching my back and hop out of bed and run to the shower to grab a quick one to wake myself up. Finished showering and dressed, I put on my converse and look at myself in the mirror, jean shorts with a slipknot shirt my jean jacket and my red converse, yeah that works for today I guess. I walk down the hall and turn the corner to my mom tapping her watch at me and I rolled my eye's, "I know I'm late, I'm sorry mom. Can you give me a ride still tho?" I asked looking at her with my puppy dog eye's, she rolled hers back at me, smirked "Hurry up and get in the car, you know when you are late you make me late too". Finally we get the school as I jump out, blow a kiss back to her then race off to class.

My day goes by like a typical day. I don't really like school, my classes are boring as they are way to easy for me, I have straight A's, which makes my parents proud but it feels dull and repetitive.

I only have to finish this year then I'm a senior and can be done. I have friends, a few good ones not to many, I'm not exactly popular but that doesn't bother me. I have a boyfriend but there really isn't any spark there, he says he loves me but I don't see it, he flirts with everyone my bestie tells me he just wants in my pants, no way I'm doing that any time soon.

After school let's out I'm standing at my locker and see Jason, my boyfriend, whispering in some girls ear before I see her smile towards me and move in and kiss him. My bestie walks up to me talking but I hear nothing coming from her when she tries to see what I'm looking at and turns and see him kissing this girl, she stands in front of me, blocking my view and then I snap back to reality and stare at her. No tears in my eyes, just a bit shocked at the situation. "Omg! How can he do that, right there!!! I'm going to go and kill him right now!" Jessy turns to walk over there when I grab her arm to stop her. She turns to me and I tell her not to worry about it, "it's pointless to go over there, I don't really even care honestly, I didn't want to be his girlfriend anyways" I shrug and start walking away and she follows me. "What are you talking about!? He's your boyfriend and he's kissing someone else! Right there, in the halls, for everyone else to see! How are you not fuming and screaming at him or kicking the crap out of him right now". I look at her and couldn't understand her rage at this moment, like he betrayed her or something, not me, "I didn't want to be with him anymore, he could feel it, we barely talk anymore and never hang out like we used to, it was inevitable, yeah he should have said something to me about breaking up before making out with someone else but, truthfully, I don't care. Why do you care so much, I mean you definitely noticed how distant we have been, you bring it up all the time", that's when it hit me, like a ton of bricks slamming into my chest 'Chloe, she's hurt, she always asked because she had feeling for him! Her reaction was that of a jealous girlfriend being cheated on! She was totally seeing him behind your back and you didn't care enough to notice, she betrayed your friendship, lied to you' I blocked out the rest of those thoughts while staring at her as she looked down to the ground looking guilty. "Oh my God, are you kidding me right now!?" I yelled while staring at her, she refusing to even look at me now. I turned and walked away from her, the anger and resentment I was feeling, boiling just beneath the surface, feeling betrayed and lied to. I walked home, it was a long walk, a out an hour. I didn't exactly live in town, we lived out on the outskirts of town down a gravel road surrounded by the woods. I loved it out here, always felt at peace. My parents moved me out here a few years back because I was always restless living in town with all the constant traffic, gave me anxiety, but out here, I feel at peace and happy. No one liked coming out to my house, saying that the woods always freaked them out, that they could hear coyotes or wolves rustling around, but it never bothered me.

When I finally got home and looked down at my phone that was in my back pocket, I had 23 new text messages from both Jason and Jessy. I didn't check them, didn't care what they had to say and stuck it back into my pocket before walking into the house. Mom was still at work, thanks to me making her late of course and dad was in his office working still. I went to his door to tell him that I was home and he grunted but never looked up from his computer. I closed the door and walked to the kitchen to get something to eat.

After grabbing some food I went to my room to get my homework done and passed out. My mom woke me up around 8:30 when she checked on me and told me to get ready for bed and if I was hungry she left a plate in the oven for me to warm up. I rubbed my eyes, getting up to go to the bathroom and wash my face and get ready for bed. Once finished I found myself hungry 'I'm starving, will you please eat already, then you can go back to bed I nodded to myself, grabbing my plate and eating the food cold, I mean it was pizza and I loved cold pizza, who doesn't. Once I was done I yawned and went back to my room to go back to bed.
