Lucas's POV

I was in the labor and delivery part of the hospital taking care of Aria waiting for Alaric to have Chloe come, I knew she would want to be here with her when Alaric linked me in a full blown panic that something was wrong with Chloe and they were on the first floor with her.

I ran to them as faster than I had ever run before.

By the time I got to him, he was covered in blood, her blood, I could smell her all over him. My heart was pounding so loud it filled my ears when our eyes met, fear filled me as he looked at me, his eyes glazed over, tears filling them.
