Her trouble

Chapter 6

"A Maxwell??" Somehow the name sounded familiar.

"They were a lot of Maxwell. Right?"

Ralda thought as she arranged the table.

"God!" She had never attended VIPs before.

Why now? She thought.

She looked up and saw Sophie giving her a thumbs up.

"You rock girl." Sophie squealed.

She chuckled.. shaking her head.

If only she didn't know about that Five Million Dollars.

Are head would be calm and she would be thinking straight.

With that huge amount to pay off... She was sure she would get sleepless nights.

" It's your turn Pretty. Get in before he roars your name." She heard Esme say.

Tch!! Life was always ready to throw rocks at her.

Couldn't it at least throw fewer rocks.. and more pillows??

At a certain Royal Crown Hotel.

A large, Grand ballroom had been cautiously set up for what seemed to be a very classy event.

Golden Chandeliers dangled from the glittering ceiling.

An environment for the rich.. and high-class people.

A BMW drove into the parking lot..and parked by the side of a Black Sedan.

"Boss... He might be aware of your coming and might try to ambush you."

"Should I tag along?" A worried voice was heard.

Ambush? Brian chuckled.

"Stay here Tod, and don't move an inch," Brian warned, as got out of his car.

He walked to the entrance of the Ballroom.

"Good evening Mr. Maxwell." The Bouncers greeted, them as they made way for him.

With or without an invitation card...no one would dare block his way.

He was an army on his own.

He walked into the Ballroom and huffed.

Two fúçking days of hard work.. would not make a man this rich.

He was now certain... He had a thing with the Arabians.

Anyone who got the opportunity to view what was going on inside would know that it was a gathering of the most influential and powerful people.

He sighted a man, with many ladies.

He walked over to the table and took a seat.

"Where is he, Matt?" Brian asked as he gave Matt a deadly glare.

"Don't look at me like that, these are my babies." Matt smiled, as he hugged two ebonies to himself.

"Where is he?" He asked.

"The Upper floor. East Wing." Matt answered, with a wink.

"And just so you know Matt, we have a problem."

"You and I," Brian said, as he stood up and took the stairs.

He walked into the elevator and punched the Ninth button.. that would take him upstairs.

The elevator went up as usual. It stopped signifying that it was now the Ninth floor.

He went out of the elevator and looked around.

"I'm sorry Mr. Crook. I'll surely deliver this message to the Mexican." A shaky voice was heard, along with whimpers.

"Father... please don't hurt my father." Another whimper.

"Why would I hurt your father sweetheart?"

"I mean your father is my fellow businessman. Hush crying now." Another deep voice was heard.

Brian noticed that one to be that of Sylvester.

He walked to the other end... to view what was going on.

A man was on his knees.. along with his child.

Brian took a good look and noticed a mark on the child's face.

Did he by any chance slap the little girl? Bryan wondered.

His eyes darkened.. as he continued to watch the drama without talking.

"You see your father here is my Drug Smuggler". "I'm not sure you know what that means sweetheart."

"But he had the guts to let the Bureau take my money."

"That Container was full of Drugs Mr. Tyler."

"And you know how much those drugs are worth."

"Billions of Money, Mr. Tyler," Sylvester said again, his eyes cold..as ice.

"I wonder what I should do to your pretty "daughter here."

I mean she's up to age. Right?" He asked, laughing. A menacing one.

"No...please, Boss, spare my family from this. I'll die for my sins." The Man on the floor pleaded.

"When you signed your life to Mr. Tyler, didn't you read the whole contract?"

"You sign the life of your family as well..so they'll pay off your problem," Sylvester said again.

"No. she's just nine years old. The Man pleaded in tears."

"No...I think.."

"We have one Rule Sylvester...one Rule that no one ever breaks."

"Not even me myself." Brian finally voiced out.

He walked out from where he was and walked down the stairs.

"Oh My!! To what do I owe this honor? Mr. Maxwell." Sylvester said and gave a slight bow....as if acting like a cheerful servant.

"Sylvester," Brian called, as he walked closer.

He walked to the child that was on the floor and carried her up.

"The one Rule... we never break is;

1. Don't ever hurt a child. It's a Must Rule in Our world, Mr. Crook... I'm sure the Arabians must I've taught you that, No?" He asked.

"I think...they did. But whew.! My head seems busy nowadays."

"And besides I did not hurt the child." Sylvester gave a sarcastic smile.

"Ohh wow... seeing the mark on her face, if It was another person I'd doubt that." Brian nodded.

He walked away with the child in his arms.

"You can continue now... set a meeting, we have to discuss some things," Brian ordered as he left the child.

Sylvester chuckled... looking at the retreating figure

.

Was he just ordered? Did he just order him to set a meeting? He thought, and let out another menacing laugh.

One that did not last long.

"Keep this child safe, Matt, I'm out of here," Brian said as he handed the child over to the woman freak.

"Huh? I hate children Brian... I can't take care of this." Matt cried, staring at the child in front of him.

He looked up and the man he had been talking to was long gone.

"Hey." He waved and sighed.

"Girls...please make sure she doesn't run away. He flashed his teeth and relaxed back to the service they were rendering."

Brian walked back to his car.

One thing he hated was the Maltreatment Of Children.

He hated. it made him remember stuff he hated to remember.

"Where to Boss?" Tod asked, seeing his expression.

"McKenzie's Coffee Shop!"
