Legend of the Ancient Hybrid Reaper

Chapter 7: Legend of the Ancient Hybrid Reaper

My lips turned into a grim line when heard that voice, it was the same small irritating voice that cursed me. I turned around and saw her smiling ear to ear.

"Hello! Do you miss me?" She played with her hair and blinked two times.

"Laia, this is not good anymore, undo the curse now. How can you walk unbothered around when you know that someone died because of you and someone was lying in bed helpless because of what you did." She instead laughed crazily.

"My fault?" She pointed to herself while giving me an unbelievable look. "Isn't yours? You are the reason for their misery. You caused all the trouble, Kylo suffered because of you, all stress of what you did while you stay here lying in bed like a Queen when you are to blame!"

"You curse me! You ruined everything, we should be living in peace if you are not insecure-" I fell on my knees when I suddenly couldn't breathe. She was already holding my neck and I couldn’t breathe.

"Shut up, I am not insecure! You stole him from me! I am his mate, not you, you poisoned his mind to marry you instead of you!" She let go of me and pushed me down.

"I and Kylo were bounded by the moon goddess, it was confirmed when I first shift."

She angrily faced me, "what do you mean?"

"You don't know that since you are a rouge! When a werewolf transformed for the first time, they'll smell their mate if they were near you." Her face turned very angry.

"No! I have not shifted yet so I didn't smell him as my mate and you took him first before I could! You deserve to be locked in here!"

"Please, Laia, I am begging you. I can tell him to leave me and choose you instead. I just want my mother back. My father has not visited me here yet, I am so worried. The pack is in danger now, the neighboring pack is planning to attack us and our army was not well because of the curse. You love Kylo, right? Will you be happy if he loses his pack? Will you be happy seeing him grieving for his dead pack members?

"I am not like you who can not jump off the cliff for him even if he was doing everything for you." She rebutted, which hit me more than it seemed.

"Then undo the curse, I promise to give him to you. Please undo the curse." She stared at me and softly smiled.

"I cannot undo the curse but I know how to end it. Did you ever hear about the ancient hybrid reaper?" She asked with a smile on her face.

"I don't know about that."

"They say, he was the half-werewolf half-vampire reaper. His mother was a traitor and sold her life to the vampire and he was their child. Vampires are immortal making him immortal too and only immortal werewolves. He was too powerful and he became destructive after his mother's death. He was killing endlessly so the werewolves asked the witch's help and cursed him to be chained in his house, he may break the chain he can never leave his place."

"What about him?"

"But he is dead, and his grave became the wishing place. Since he was powerful enough, anything you wish, you would say that while pouring the blood of a virgin on his grave, after that you chant the incantation."

How can I trust her when she wants me to die?

"Everyone is prohibited to do that since his power involves dark magic as curses. This is the only way other than you killing yourself, Lavelle." I was left speechless, I need to hold on to that legend. We were running out of time.

I heard him approaching and Laia did too. "Don't ever mention this to him. The wish should be an inner wicked desire for him to grant it. If someone would know about your plan, nothing will happen." She vanished after saying that.

I sat on my bed and looked down at my hand. Should I believe her? Witches were tricky. I almost squealed when I heard a loud crash of the glass breaking. I cover my mouth not to make any noise and listened to his countless curses under his breath.

He was mad, very mad I hope I knew why.

"My Alpha," I whispered; not that sure if was it a good thing to do.

"Velle." I didn't know if he refused to address me as his Luna or if he forgot to.

"What is the matter?"

"Do I have to answer that?" He sounded greatly frustrated that I have nothing to do. " I closed my eyes and my tears fell carelessly down to my face.

'Do not worry my Alpha, I will do the right thing to end this misery of us.' I waited for him to calm down and leave the house. It was dark and my hand was trembling in nervousness. I got my moron cape and carefully slide out of the house.

I broke into the clinic where the unconscious pack members were taken care of. I got a bottle and a knife with me. I only need blood, I didn't kill her. I carefully slit her wrist and rich red blood came out so I filled my bottle with it. I was about to cover her wrist when she stopped breathing.

I froze and felt my throat dry in fright. What did I do?

I ran out of the room and escape to the woods. My guilt was suffocating me and I stumbled onto a rock that I didn't see. I fell to the ground and dropped the bottle. I looked at my hands it was full of blood. It was shaking, shaking in fear.

" I killed her." My whisper felt a sharp dagger strike my heart. My tears kept falling but I got to be going.

I stood up and shifted, I ran to his grave. When I get there I saw a huge gate, it was rusty and old, weeds has climbed to it and I saw it slightly opened. I carefully entered the gate, I found myself shaking in fear looking at the creepy house made of stone, the place was full of dried leaves and the door was made of metal. It was a huge house with all gray color, grasses had taken all over but died and brown.

I took a step after taking a long deep breath. I twisted the doorknob and look inside. It was so dark but there was light from about in the middle where a gravestone lies. That must be his grave. I walked to it and saw the long rectangular gray stone. There were carvings on its lines and curves like words that I couldn't recognize.

I poured the blood on it and when the blood filled the carved lines it lightened up and letters started floating from the gravestone, I waited for it to arrange itself. Until I could already read it.

"Lords of Immortals, grant my wish, I wish to end the curse and wake all my pack members. Lords of Immortal wake up thy unconscious and bring their life back- AHHH!" My sharp squeal echoed in the room when a flash of lightning suddenly struck the grave.

I stepped back and ran out of the place. I shifted and ran faster while the thunder was making me want to cry out loud. Even if my lungs run out of air I persist to run and run back to the pack.

I ran faster than I usually do, not caring I might fall. I slow down when I saw all of them waiting for me. I shifted back and wiped my tears, I felt like my sacrifices has paid off. I small smile crept on my face but I instantly dropped when I saw their faces.

They looked so angry and cold. I walked closer and saw the only one smiling who was not supposed to be standing next to my mate. "She's here, the fake saint has returned with her victory smile."

"What are you talking about, Laia?"

"You killed an innocent girl, Velle! You planned this all along. You want to kill every beautiful girl in your pack not wanting Kylo might replace you as his mate." I harshly turned to my mate who was looking at me.

"You believe her? She cursed me! You should be capturing her and making her undo the curse. She was trying to poison your minds with lame reasons."

"Explain the blood on your hand." My gaze fell on my hands. I shook my head and looked at him in disbelief.

"How can you trust her instead of me? I am your mate!" I felt so helpless looking into his eyes. They were so cold and deadly.

"Fake saints are worst than villains, indeed."

"Shut up, Laia! You set me up, you said this is the only way to cut the curse." I pointed to her and my finger didn't help to shake in anger. I faced Kylo, who I caught looking at my hand or maybe our ring coated with blood. "Kylo, believe me. Laia secretly sneaked into my room and convinced me to do it, she said it was the only way to cut the curse.
