Chapter Four

Dina curled up in her bed crying, she decided to skip her lessons, in her situation she probably wouldn't concentrate anyway.

'Jack, why are you so heartless, I love you so much... just what do you want, I could do it, NO! It's you, Dina, you're such a pathetic fuck! Just leave him alone, if you love him, you should....'

In the end, she cried herself to sleep while listening to Jack's songs, Jack was a small-time musician and had composed songs for her which she listened to calm herself down most of the time but this time around it simply worsened her case.

Her heart tightened in pain as if something was squeezing it tightly, suffocating her and choking her, worse than any pain she had ever felt, this continued until she finally fell asleep.

Waking up, Dina realized that it was still 3 0'clock in the morning, she had slept from yesterday straight to the next day,

'Wow, that's insane,' Dina thought.

She decided to watch movies in order to kill time, munching on her popcorn she watched a mecha movie while criticizing and mocking the film for making the heroes too overpowered or making the robotics too unreal, this was one of her favorite times.

Today was a weekend and she was visiting her mum and her stepdad around the afternoon, she decided to go buy the ingredients for the cake since it was already 7 0'clock.

Putting on her tight pants, she added on a boxer to hide her unnatural budge, placed on her bra and fetched a short flare gown.

As she was about to put it on, a familiar dizzy wave hit her. Before she could understand what was going on, her gown fell off her hands and she disappeared.

Zero-one sighed, this cowardly bastard had left him to deal with his ex. Seriously, if he could be annoyed he was sure he would be now, sadly, he was cursed not to feel anything.

Closing his eyes on the same sit that Jack was sitting before, he waited.

"Ugh...…" Dina mourned while trying to get herself, she stood up and looked at the screen with tired but hopeful eyes, hoping to see Jack but saw another person...

Weirdly, she wasn't disappointed... no! Not weirdly, she wasn't disappointed because even though the gods had not sent her Jack, they sent her quality eye candy.

Dang! This guy was hot! So sexy, smexy, fuck! Too hot!

His phoenix eyes were closed causing his somewhat long eyelashes to envelop them, he had soft brows with a medium arch height and a curved arch shape. His thin red lips were pursed making them look very sexy as his black hair which was a bit wavy but barely noticeable fell over his shoulders giving him a certain charm.

He had a chiseled jawline with a v-shaped chin making his masculinity blow off the chart, in total, he was HOT as in STEAMING HOT.

"H-hey m-my name is Diana, no! Dina!" Dina muttered stupidly, completely dumb-struck.

"Hello, Geraldina, I am Zero-one and I am here you convince you to accept the contract and please cloth yourself, I also apologize for the inconvenience," Zero-one opened his eyes and said in his usual monotone voice.

But Dina was far too gone, she was staring at Zero-one's gorgeous spring-green eyes, he was just too handsome.

"Geraldina!"

"Yes!"

"First of all, I am your to-be system, so the formalities are mine and second, please dress up," Zero said, his monotone voice a bit sharper.

That was when Dina noticed her situation.

"AH!"

If people were shy to show their half-nakedness, Dina was worse. Because of her 'uniqueness,' she had never been naked in front of anyone but her mum and Jack, and now that she was in front of this hotness overload only on undies... her whole body flushed red.

Her hands moved over her body, not knowing what to cover, her boobs? Or her bulge?

"You're dress is beside you," Zero said flatly.

"Yes, yes...." Dina mumbled as she scuffled to put on her dress.

After ruffling about for a while, she managed to dress up, she couldn't look Zero straight in the eye and could only turn her face away but Zero couldn't care less, his job was to convince her not to make her comfy with him.

"Listen, apart from helping Jackson, this journey will also be helpful for you so you have to accept it, Miss Dina." Zero started

"How?" Dina wasn't really comfortable with this talk but aye! That face, tch, she'd 'reluctantly listen' only because of it.

"Don't you want to be free of the burden of loving a man who doesn't love you back? Don't you wish to forget him and finally move on? Think about it, it's a good offer," Zero said while staring straight at Dina.

If it was before Dina would have rejected him without a second thought, she loved Jack, and even if he forever hated her she still wouldn't give up on him, but...

Jack will forever see her as THAT person, she didn't mind losing Jack but what she couldn't condone was Jack seeing another person as her instead of her.

Dina considered it and decided she would rather not, forgetting Jack or not, over her dead body would she use her very hands and give her love to another, yeah she was a bitch, she was that selfish.

Before she could reject it, she heard Zero say-

"Taking this mission is really needed for you, Jack was not meant to reveal this to you but, your love for Jack is actually unintentional or more precisely a curse."

"What did you say?" Dina asked in a threatening low voice.

She agreed that her obsession was abnormal but being told that her love for Jack was only but a curse, THAT, she would never accept.

"Don't you want to find out? Why do you never get angry at him, don't occasionally feel bored with him? Always condole? Even when he is with another? Is it normal?

'To love is to feel all this, anger, sadness, hurt, jealousy, hate, you feel this but you never associated it with Jack, the only thing you ever want to do is to give him, give your heart, mind, body, it's like you're programmed," Zero said dropping his voice dangerously low like a devil's whisper.

"Tough talk from an AI!" Dina shouted while covering her ears, she didn't want to hear it, and she didn't know why but she JUST DIDN'T!

But Zero continued anyway without bothering about her feelings, even with her hands over her ears, Dina could still hear his voice loud and clear in her head.

"Am not wrong am I? Ever since you met him the only thing you've ever felt with him is contentment, willingness to give, willingness to do anything for him, you think you're happy, you're in love, but are you really? Don't you want to know if it's a force driving you, manipulating your heart? Well if you don't want to then know this, Jack believes you only love him because of the curse," Zero said finally throwing the big one at her.

"What?" Dina asked while slowly lowering her hands that were over her ear and glaring right at Zero.

"Don't you want to find out the truth yourself? And if it is but a lie, maybe just maybe, you can convince Jack... plus your reward for this contract is anything you wish for... including Jackson himself," Zero threw the last bait at Dina before shutting up to let it sink into her.

Dina was quiet for a while, Jackson was really sure that she was cursed? The truth what was it? Jack was so sure that she would give up on him if she found the truth that he was ready to give up on his beloved and date her, the truth.....WHAT WAS IT?

The task was dangerous, she could even die in it but she was determined, determined to prove that her love was real, she refused to believe that it was a curse, and maybe she could get back what once was hers and soon will be hers, her Jack... HER JACK!

"I accept!" Dina said with glowing eyes, she would prove to Jack that she was right! And get him back!

Even if THAT person had his heart, she would snatch it back and make sure to have Jack's heart, what once was hers would be hers yet again.

"Is that so?" Zero-one said with a gorgeous smile making the whole place light up leaving Dina in a stun.

He was beautiful, so ethereal he made one's heart race in pure delight, his aura was absolutely... addicting.

Dina's heart was thumping so loudly that her whole ear was filled with its rhythm and for the first time ever she momentarily forgot about Jack...

Indeed, Zero-one was too beautiful for the fragile hearts of mortals, his beauty could even make gods and devils alike succumb, too handsome.

"The contract has been signed," Zero started while looking at a sheet of paper in his hands with Dina assumed was the contract.

He stood up, his image in the projection raised his hands as he approached closer to the projection, Dina was still confused about what he was doing but instantly became shocked by what happened.

His image's hand went right through the projection, turning into transparent blue-like bits of data before his real hand came into Dina's space.

In front of Dina's wide-opened eyes, he shoved his whole body inside and came right through the screen into her space, standing in front of Dina, he raised his hand up to her for a handshake.

'What kind of sadoka horror shit is this... even more, why does he still look so hot even while doing it!'

Dina's attention went to his clothing, a simple T-shirt that was buttoned up but stopped at his neck, showing his neckline bone and black jeans trousers with a set of pure black oxford male shoes. Even in such simple wear, he was killing it.

'Forget killing it, he's killing me here!' Dina thought with a blush.

"Miss Dina?" Zero asked tilting his head a bit to the left, causing his hair to fall over his left shoulder.

'I hope I don't get a nosebleed' Dina thought.

Dina finally took his hand that had been hanging there for more than a minute as they shook each other's hands firmly.

"Then may our acquaintance start from now on," Zero said shaking her hands with a small professional smile.

"Y-es, yes, of course" Dina replied completely entranced by the smile and praying to any gods out there to prevent her from doing anything silly and ruining her image.

"Then shall we start?"

"Now?!"

"Yes, now."

"It can't wait? I still have a mee..."

"Miss Dina, be rest assured that time will still be as it is when you go back."

"Are you sure?

"Yes."

"Hmm...." Dina thought for a while but then decided "Fine~, let's go."

"Good."

Dina was sneakily feeling the smooth feel of zero-one's hand, she felt a bit embarrassed but couldn't help it.

'So smooth..., not too soft or hard, how can a guy's hand be so per...'

"Miss. Dina, can you please stop pinching me?" Zero said with a small smile

Dina completely flushed red and screamed-

"Yes!"

She attempted to remove her hands but it was stuck! Zero held down on it still having that beautiful smile on his annoyingly hot face, Dina gave Zero a wronged look, to which Zero said-

"We still need to hold hands to transport you to the world, all I told you to do was to stop pinching."

"Oh."
