ISABELLE’S POV

I visit the fields, and the market but nothing is there like before. The fields have disappeared like they never existed. My village where there was hustle and bustle every time is deserted.

Where did my family go? Are they dead? No, I should not think like this. They cannot be dead. I return to the place where my home used to be. I sit on a big rock in front of my burnt house and continue to look at it. I used to live here with my family but everything has changed. I have changed and this village has changed too.

How can a lively village become so deserted?

The day changed into the night but I did not move from the place where I am sitting. My thoughts are killing me from the inside. I am unable to understand where my family is. I am unable to understand what sin I have done in my life that I am getting punished like this.
