During School

I was walking down the hall with my crew when this damn werebear Andre Mascota wasn’t watching where he was going slamming right into my shoulder. I turned to him shoving him telling him to watch himself which instantly pissed him off.

“You watch yourself Angelino”. He yells while shoving me back.

This instantly gets my blood boiling and pisses my wolf Lynel off I just turned 18 recently and already got my wolf. Werebears may be strong, but werewolves are superior and going up against a newly shifted Alpha is a really big mistake. I don’t understand why they had to make this school a shifter school for all shifters none of us get along with each other so there are constantly fights between us more so the werewolves and werebears the werecats generally stick to themselves and stay out of drama.

When I felt the first hit to my jaw it instantly pulled me out of my thoughts, and I reeled my fist back and got him right on the side of the head. He stumbles back into a locker and then a crowd starts to form when he got his footing and barreled towards me, I grabbed him by his throat and slammed him into the ground. He lays another hit to my ribs this time, but I don’t flinch. I kept him pinned to the ground by his throat.

“Are you done Andre I’d really hate to seriously hurt you”.

“Not a fucking chance you mutt”. He mumbles back while trying to get air.

Just then I smelt something sweet way too sweet like honeydew and caramel. “Mate” is all Lynel said when I stood up to scan the hallway. Everyone seemed surprised when I stood up and let Andre walk away, I kept scanning until my eyes finally landed on hers. My wolf Lynel was purring with excitement. It was hard to almost see her she’s short for being a shifter maybe 4’9 if that but that’s not really caught my attention, she had white, blonde hair fair skin complexion heart shaped face and her eyes oh my god her eyes the bluest eyes that I’d ever seen, and they had a natural glow to them they glowed like the moon's aura of a Blue Full Moon.

I smirked to myself when I noticed her checking me out. “Hey Lynel, I called to my wolf our mates checking us out”. All I got back in response is him still purring. Then that’s when I heard it my third in command Angel “what the fuck is that freak staring at” and that’s when everyone turned their heads in the direction of her. She breaks eye contact and runs towards the door but before she makes it outside, I let of the angriest growls letting her know I was not happy with that comment.

Everyone goes about their business when we hear what sounds like thunder everyone rushes towards the window to see the sudden weather change. When we hear the thunder again and again and then a bolt lights up the sky and then there’s a loud BOOM and the whole school shook.

“Did the school just get struck by lightning” my Beta and my best friend Orlando says.

“I believe it just did” my third in command Angel says.

“What the fuck is going on we never get storms like this” I say to both of them.

We all rush back to the windows trying to make sense of this sudden weird weather change.

“Angelino” my wolf Lynel says, “our mate is out there she never came back in”.

I rush toward the doors to run out and look for her when all the clouds just suddenly disappear. I walk around for a minute, but I can’t find her or smell her. “She probably went home Lynel” I tell my wolf to keep him at ease. “Yeah maybe” is all he said before going back to sleep.

I get back in the school and meet up with Angel and Orlando. We start walking to class when Orlando stops me and tells Angel to do ahead that we’ll catch up we all have the same classes together, so it won’t be hard. He just shrugs and keeps walking. Orlando pulls me off to the side away from prying eyes and ears.

“Okay man spills it what the heck happened back there”? Orlando asks.

“What do you mean”? I ask cautiously.

“When you had Andre pinned to the ground and got up sniffing the air then locking eyes with that girl. Then not to mention when Angel made that comment about her you growled. Then when that weird ass storm hit you took off outside. Don’t play stupid with Angelino” he barks at me.

“Fine I’ll tell you she’s umm she’s, my mate. Who is she? What is her name”? I ask excitedly.

I cautiously watch Orlando’s face go from shocked to surprise to excited before he finally slaps me on my back and speaks.

“Congratulations man she’s a real beaut I believe her name is Lalani Mitchell but she’s not very social and generally keeps to herself”. He tells me.

“Wait did you say Mitchell as in Dan Mitchell our lead warrior's daughter”. I answer back enthusiastically.

Orlando ponders for a minute before answering. “I believe so there is only one Mitchell family that lives in the pack and if I remember correctly, they have 3 daughters an older girl and a set of twin girls and if I’m correct he works directly for your parents”.

“Hmmm I think I need to make a visit to my parents after school and then a surprise visit to the Mitchell family to see for myself”.

“Sound like a plan just let me know when you would like to head out” he answers nonchalantly.

“Oh, and another thing Orlando keep Angel out of this I’m not very happy with the comment he made about my mate”.

“You got it boss” and with that we head to our first class.

They rest of the day went by smoothly that little punk werebear Andre stayed out of my way, but I could help but feel uneasy that my mate never showed back up at school I kept looking for her in the hallway during passing periods I had no idea if we even had any classes together my wolf Lynel started getting antsy not being able to see her or even catch a whiff of her scent.

Before I knew it. It was time for lunch Orlando, Angel, and I all head to the cafeteria Lynel is still on edge he wants his mate to be close to him just to hold her or even get a whiff of her. We grab our trays and then start making our way over to our seats. When I sit down, I finally take a minute to calm Lynel down.

“Lynel” I say in my mind “you need to chill our mate is probably at home we will head over after school after I talk to our parents.

“Hmff I don’t like it especially the way she ran out of here after what your dumbass third in command said nobody will bully my mate and live the only reason I didn’t take over and kill him is because he is your friend but if he does it again, I won’t hesitate”. He snaps back.

“Chill dude I will take care of him got it” I say back.

“Hmff whatever” he grumbles back before going back to sleep.

I’m sitting there quietly eating my food wishing this day would go by quicker. When all of a sudden, I hear Angel talking shot about my mate.

“Did you see that freak starring at Angelino early I don’t understand why they even let that freak attend this school not like she’s of importance anyways” he spats towards Orlando who just sat there quietly looking at me.

Before I knew Lynel completely took over and had Angel by his neck up in the air. I looked from the side lines trying to gain control as I see Lynel slowly start squeezing the life out of my third in command and see the seer shock of horror written on his face.

“Lynel come on man you can’t do that he’s my third in command we can’t kill him” I say internally while still trying to gain control.

“He insulted our mate and I refuse to let him get away with it” he says growling.

“He won’t man now give me back control”

“Not yet” he huffs out and then I hear him speak to Angel.

“You will not speak of Lalani like that again you will not make fun of her or insult you won’t even look her direction do you understand” he says in an Alpha command voice.

Angel just nods his head in agreement.

“Good cause if you do, I will kill you” and just like that he dropped Angel to the floor and walked away not giving me control until we were out of the school heading towards the woods.

“What the hell are you doing” I say internally after we are in the woods.

“I need to smell her scent this is the last place it is at” he grumbles back at me.

We sat in the last spot she was at until the school was over then I shifted and took off back to the pack house to speak to my parents.
