I wake up feeling weird. Ever since my wolf came home from visiting Kingsley, there's something wrong with him. I'm not quite sure why because my wolf blocked me out like he always does when he's alone with Kingsley in his room, but I know he's angry and sad for some reason.

I go downstairs the next morning earlier than usual because I couldn't sleep at all.

My parents are talking in the kitchen in hushed tones but as soon as I arrive, they both shut up and just look at me reproachfully.

"Good morning?" I ask, but this morning isn’t looking very good. My mom doesn't even answer me, she just shakes her head.
