Chapter 86

Dante:

I opened my eyes to frown at the sight of the dark room that I was in.

Aurora’s scent filled my nostrils and that was the one thing that seemed to calm me down in the state that I was in.

I forced my eyes to adjust to the light to find Aurora sitting on the chair beside me, laying her head on the bed as she had her hand in mine. Nicolas was also here, laying his head on the couch’s armrest as he slept, his chest rising and falling peacefully with each breath he took.

I smiled at the sight of my mate, and running my fingers through her hair, I looped my index finger in a brown, curly lock, watching as she stirred, coming to her senses.

“Dante?” She asked, frowning in confusion before she opened the light. Nicolas seemed to wake up at the sound of her voice, and rubbing his temple, the two of them looked at me for a second before my mate wrapped her arms around me, pulling me in for a tight hug, momentarily forgetting the fact that I was injured.

Now, as much as I can't blame Dante for his reaction, I can't help but feel bad for Nicolas, what do you guys think?

Dante seems to have foot mouth disease, he doesn't have very good communication skills.

I hope Nicolas forgives Dante. Hope their relationship blossoms. It’s nice to finally not be alone. Maybe in the end Dante will split his inheritance equally in the end or they run everything together as a united family.

Nicolas has to get a thicker skin around Dante, look how he he is with Aurora and his sister.
