I was waiting until the end of the week to reach out to him, but it seemed like I didn’t need to. Darvin and Celeste left the territory a month ago after he declined my proposal. He told me he was ready to move on and that I should schedule my Alpha ceremony. But I wasn’t giving up yet. I asked for a month, for him to try living a human life. Either they had no idea or they respected our privacy over the matter. They inquired about my mate bond with Darvin. They asked how our first date went and how Darvin told me he was a shifter. And if there was a moment when I wanted to run away when I found out, but I corrected them and told them I was actually the one who told Darvin I knew he was a shifter, and it was Darvin who ended up shocked, and we all had a good laugh about it.
