In a dimly lit room

A sturdy figure is seen facing the wall , his hands badly bruised and folded in a fist, his feral bloody eyes staring into the now broken mirror. his now disheveled hair wet with sweat.

Fuck !

He did it again ! Gaius Maro , that cunning old fox did it, yet again!! , how could he possibly drug him twice in a space of one week , and i failed to notice.

Damn! He hit his fist on the innocent mirror, and it fell with a loud noise and its bits scattered across the room.

Shaking his head, he tried to remain conscious. he can feel him in his head trying to take over. Hell will be let loose if he allows his wolf to take over. not now , not yet !

He needs to be vigilant, now that he's in the enemy's territory.

The door swung open , but he didn't turn his head to know who barged into his room, he knew no one would dare do that except for one person. Ronan he's beta.

Standing at the door , not daring to step inside Ronan scanned the messy room , he knew things would escalate but not to this point ! The last time this happened, he was lucky he found out on time and tamed the beast in one way he knew how . but now things are different ; he can't possibly use the antidote he used before. Rummaging his foggy memory he tried to remember what the priestess warned him about, and the precautions he should take .

fearing the worst , he cleaned an imaginary sweat from his forehead.

Overcoming his shock, he stepped into the room avoiding the bits of the broken mirror that was littered on the floor, his footsteps were light , he tried as much as possible not to make noise.

" Arthur, what the hell happened here ? Ronan snapped at him through gritted teeth

" Address me properly, Ronan , or else you will lose your head " Arthur growled in his Alpha voice , displeasure written clearly on his face , Ronan bent his head in total submission , an Alpha's voice is not something to be trifled with . Not when he's in beast mode !

" Apologies alpha Arthur , it won't happen again " Ronan said with his head still bent .

" Of course it won't, even if you have two lives . Where's Kilion ? "

" He's keeping Gaius company on your behalf , and that old sly fox is getting suspicious of your disappearance ."

Arthur turned and his face came into view , one of his eyes still bloodshot and the other eye blue, Ronan could tell he was trying to keep his wolf at bay .

" We need to get out of this city's walls , so that I can hunt, " Arthur demanded incredulously .

" Alpha , it seems like you forgot how cunning that man can be ! he might come to find us if we don't get back to that hall,".

" He's being having his suspicion about you, that's why he lured you here with the excuse that he have information concerning the murder of your parents"

" That's why he drugged you twice to confirm his suspicion, because he knew that once one takes that drug his beast will surface ".

Arthur's eyes narrowed at the revelation , How bold !
