Kimberley's fear

"How was your walk with her?" Alpha Damian asked Killian.

"It was okay, she bought one or two things she loved," Alpha Damian heaved a sigh when he heard what Killian said to him. 

Alpha Damian turned to look at Killian with the glass filled with red wine that he was holding.

"Why do you look like that?" Alpha Damian asked Killian when he noticed Killian looked worried.

"It's nothing serious, I think the girl is scared of someone or something, it's unclear to me though." Alpha Damian sat on the couch and gulped the wine.

"Have you settled the issue we have with the neighboring pack?" Killian was wondering why Alpha Damian snubbed the topic of Kimberly's fear.

"I was just talking about the stranger we have here, I cannot really explain it, but she appears to be very scared, as scared as you could ever imagine." Killian explains to Alpha Damian.

Alpha Damian turned to look at him and immediately Killian kept his mouth shut. 

"This is my territory and no one has the power to threaten anyone under my watch." Alpha Damian said to Killian. Killian smiled and sat on the couch.

"The issue with the neighboring pack has been sorted, they gave us some lands as well." Killian smiled and dropped the glass of wine on the table. 

"They know not to mess with me." They both laughed after Alpha Damian talked. 

"Well return the land back to them." Killian was shocked to hear what Alpha Damian said. He was wondering why Alpha Damian would want to take such a decision.

"Why, those lands will be useful to us." Killian knew that Alpha Damian might have other plans but he still felt returning the land was not a good idea. 

"We'll ask for something else." Killian was not sure of what Alpha Damian will ask for, but he knew it'll be something really useful to them.

"Why don't we just take both?" Alpha Damian smiled and turned to look at Killian.

"I see you've become very greedy." Killian smiled after hearing what Damian said.

"No we're not taking both, we'll ruin them if we do that." Killian was sure this time that what Alpha Damian is about to ask for is something that might actually bring down the ego of the neighboring pack.

"Next time they'll learn not to spread false news about you." Alpha Damian's smile faded as he remembered the false news they were spreading about him in the neighboring pack.

"Where is she?" Alpha Damian remembered he still has a guest in the pack.

"She should be in her room."

Kimberly looked around the room she was taken to. Two maids walked into the room and helped her remove her cloth, they took her to the bathtub and helped her with her bath. 

Kimberly felt at home again, she was wondering why the Alpha is giving her such special treatment as a stranger.

When she was done she was surprised to see new clothes on the bed, they helped her pick one and dressed her.

"Thank you." Kimberly said to them and they both bowed before walking away. It felt unreal to Kimberly how she was nicely treated by the Alpha.

"They called him a beast but in reality, he is an angel." Kimberly said to herself and sat on the bed. 

It's been a while since she had had a good night's rest, Kimberly lay on the bed and closed her eyes, while her eyes were closed she saw herself running and being chased by her uncle, tears Welled down her eyes while they were closed.

She hid somewhere when she was tired of running.

"Mommy." Kimberly cried out and opened her eyes. 

"Calm down, it's Killian." Kimberly held her chest and was shivering. 

"He wants to kill me." Killian was confused because there was no one in the room with her apart from him.

"No one Is going to kill you in the pack where Alpha Damian is the ruling." Kimberly was still panting and not convinced by what Killian said. 

"He is after me, he promised he'll kill me," Killian was getting fed up with her constant disagreement with what he was saying to her.

"Just go back to bed now, I'll make sure the security around here is tighter." Killian said to Kimberly, she turned to look at him and he nodded his head. 

Kimberly finally laid back on the bed, though she was still scared she decided to trust Killian.

The next morning. 

Alpha Damian was already awake he stood up from the bed and walked to the bathroom. When he was done taking his bath he walked out and heard a knock on his door.

"Come in." He said to the person knocking. He noticed it was the Omega in charge of dressing him.

"Don't worry I'll dress myself today." He said to them as usual, they walked out of the room with their heads bowed. He has never allowed them to dress him, most of them felt it's because he Is a monster.

Kimberly woke up and noticed it was already morning, she rubbed her eyes until she was able to see clearly.

She heard a knock on the door so she stood up to ho open the door.

"Good morning." Killian said to her the moment she opened the door. He walked Inside the room.

"How do you feel this morning." Killian asked her with a smile on his face. 

"Better I guess," Kimberly replied to him and sat on the bed.

"Okay, I just wanted to make sure you're okay." Killian said to her and was about to walk out of the room.

"Why are you people treating me nicely?" Kimberly had to ask because she couldn't keep it in anymore.

"You are our guest and this is how we treat our guests." Killian walked out of the room and left Kimberly thinking about his reply.

"Their guest." Kimberly muttered to herself and turned to look at the door.

"We need to do something about her fears." Killian said to Alpha Damian the moment he walked into his room.

"Have I not…"

"Last night, she was unable to sleep. She was shivering and her fears were very clear." Killian explained to Alpha Damian. 

"Did she tell you who it is?" Alpha Damian asked Killian.

"No, she kept saying 'he’ without mentioning his name." 

"Watch her closely, study everything, and give me the exact person that makes her so scared and why he has so much power to make her scared." Alpha Damian said to his Killian.
