Chapter 68

"So she remembered?"

Leo nodded feeling uneasy. "She did, and now she hates me."

Emily sighed as he sat down restless. "She's going to be fine, Leonard. And the both of you will talk things out."

Leonard didn't know what to reply, the only thing he wished for at the moment is her safety, and that of his babies, because he'll be at fault if anything happens to either of them. He won't be able to take it.

The doctor came out of Alexa's ward, and towards them making them both stand up. "How's she doctor?"

The doctor shook her head. "Not in a good state, Mr. Hodge."

"What's wrong with her?" Emily asked.

"She's diagnosed with preeclampsia. Somehow she developed gestational hypertension."

Leo blinked knowing he was at fault.

"So what happens next?"

"We're gonna have to perform a c-section on her, and don't worry, since she's up to thirty weeks, the babies will be fine." The doctor assured.

Emily looked at Leo wondering what he should say about it.

"What about her? Is she going to be fine?"
