Valek turned the lights on and then looked at us from where he stood.

“Stay here.” He told us, “I’ll go look.”

“Daddy don’t!” Emilio tried to stop him, “It will get you too!”

Valek looked back at us, “What will get me?” He looked at the door, “This is concerning, the guards are on duty. No stranger should be in the house.”

“It’s not a person.” I said, not realizing how stupid I sound.
