Veronica panicked and stepped back, taking a look at her ruined uniform in shock. "Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do it!" "hey! How are you doing? Been a while" Samuel chirped when Veronica approached Nancy outside the class. It was a casual thing now, Nancy was always seen with Samuel and Veronica had no choice but to greet him too while being with her. "I'm fine" she replied curtly and it didn't go unnoticed by Nancy. After torturing both of them for endless hours, he was still not satisfied. He took the drilling machine once again and dug holes in their hands and arms. The splashes of blood stained the brick walls and his own clothes but nothing could calm his anger. His own standing beside him were disgusted and scared to the pit of their stomach. The very next morning, he accompanied her to her hostel. Much to her dismay, everyone gaped at her when she got down the car with him by her side. He wanted to take her to her room himself but she denied and asked him to leave her be. He respected her decision and left her in the hallway. She walked up the stairs to her room, not paying any attention to the girls who whispered in each other's ears. As soon she placed her bag on the dresser and sat down on the bed, Stacy stomped in. "Miss Veronica! May I remind you of the rules of the hostel which you broke twice?" She deadpanned in a terrible voice. Neon lights making her eyes hurt, she lowered her gaze as she walked inside. The man closed the door shut as she was forced to move forward and couldn't look back. Bernard was sitting on a couch, as usual his presence was dark and stark. She tried to see his face but couldn't. "How was your day Miss Veronica?" He asked in a husky voice. "It was fine Sir......." As much as she wanted to ask him about the reason for calling her, she hesitated. He was cold and merciless but also never hurt her. She wondered how he killed those two men.
