I was currently working on some paperwork when mom suddenly called.

I answered the call while still looking at the papers.

"Hi, mom! What's up?" I greeted.

"Hi, honey. How's work?"

"It's great. I am doing fine. I'm currently working on our project for next month." I answered.

"It's good to hear that. Can you leave that even for just three hours?”

I stopped what I was doing. "Why, ma? Do you need anything?”

"Nothing, honey. I don't have anyone with me now. I just thought of bonding with you. I want to be with one of my princesses when it's just the two of us. And besides, you have been working all week. You need a break, come on.”

"You know the pressure, mom. The party is just a few weeks away. I have to be hands on because we might fail. I don't want to embarrass you or dad."
