MYSTERIOUS IS DANGEROUS

After the man stopped laughing, he spoke, “Little one, you are such a brave girl and this has increased my curiosity,” he hissed as his eyes shot daggers at her, “Are you perhaps thinking that you could escape from me after prying on our private conversation? Or, are you this confident because of the cameras?” His eyes traveled to the corners of the pillars in the area.

He noticed her face flushed. It seemed like what he was saying was not far from the truth. It might be the camera’s presence that had increased her confidence and she felt safe under the surveillance of the parking lot.

"Too bad, queen…countless have tried that but even in their dreams, it was only a thoughtful wish not fulfilled. And besides…I don’t think you are capable of managing it.”

When Anita heard of the other name he gave her, she felt her blood boil and her reasoning lost as she shouted, “Please will you stop giving me names! My name is Anita and I am not a little one for heaven’s sake! I am turning twenty four years old in a few weeks!”

The man’s expression suddenly shifted once and he once again chuckled at the raged creature before him. He couldn’t understand where this girl got her confident self. Was it bravery or stupidity?

He had never faced a situation like this. But this girl seemed to bring out all the anger in him and this intrigued him. He looked forward to where this will take them.

“Little queen, you are indeed one brave girl. And truly the one I have never met. Successfully wetting my appetite. Say little one…do you know who I am?”

“No!” Anita replied truthfully.

“And yet, here you are blindly offending me?” He asked.

She became silent and he tried to see through her mind but he couldn’t see any extraordinary features in her except for her lack of fear. He could tell she wasn’t shaken to the core by taking a look at her calm petite oval face. She was just shocked and silent.

It was like she was trying to figure out if he was one big person that she shouldn’t mess with.

“Are you afraid?” He asked in a mocking tone. He was finding himself over the moon for at least successfully silencing the girl. But before he could enjoy his victory she spoke.

“I would like to see if you are worth the arrogant smugness on your face and know who you really are. If I fail, I will gladly accept any consequence,”

He choked at her words and he couldn’t react even after a long pause. He did not dare believe his ears, so, he naturally and openly looked at the girl from her head to toes.

He couldn’t understand what was so unique about this girl that even her mocking tone seemed to attract him so much that he wanted to argue all day and all night with her.

But he realized that he might not win now. He had to calm himself down first. Also the night was approaching, he couldn’t stray away from home at that time.

“Let me tell you this, you are heading down a slippery road that happens to be on a slope. Doing this might not only ruin your life but it might affect the lives of the people around you. Are you ready to walk down that path just to prove me wrong?”

She did not reply to him instantly. But, it seemed like his warning wasn’t enough to make her give in. Anita still was as confident as ever and it seemed like his warning had only made her more confident. But, he had misunderstood her silence.

His lips eventually curled back to the triumphant mocking smile he had earlier and his hand landed on her head. He leaned in on her and whispered,

“That is not the best road to try to tackle for someone like you. So, go home little one and calm down. It might help you realize the best option rationally,”

He ruffled her hair and then turned to leave casually as if nothing had happened. But on his second step he heard her voice say,

“To not cross paths with you…that scary road you are talking about, I’d like to experience it for myself!” Anita mumbled loud enough for him to hear and he just closed his eyes and took in a long breathe.

He was fighting time and Anita would still be there for him to see what she is made of really. So, between time and Anita, he chose time for now.

“See you soon,” he said as he walked to the car without looking back at her this time.

This girl was the most intriguing person he’d ever met in this life.

Collins opened the door for him and he got in successfully this time not interrupted by Anita. He raised a brow with a smile of disbelief. Collins still did not give Anita the chance to see his face.

“Sir…” Collins called out from the front seat.

"Let's go.” Mr. Ronald said as he looked at the golden crystal watch on his wrist.

“Second brother, you are planning on leaving her there just like that?” An astonished voice asked.

It was another foreign voice but familiar to Ronald.

“Yes! You want to take her with us?” Ronald asked icily, turning to his left to look at the man who had spoken. It was another handsome creature just like him. Ronald’s eyes were embroiled in a murderous aura spewing out fire.

If mathematical theorems and scientific researches did not come up with a perfect answer to the strange beauty that Ronald behold, then it was not an understatement to say that words and expressions that were left by the old English ancestors would not fit in describing the other beauty. But he wasn’t the only one present as there was another one seated in front with Collins.

Yet, even with the suffocating murderous aura, they only flinched back to their seats with no fear but dazed for sometime before shock overtook their delicate faces. The two of them slightly resembled each other, but their otherworldly beauty could not beat Ronald’s.

They were all drowned in silence before Richard spoke.

“Ye Zhu, what’s her name?” Ronald asked, looking at the one at the front, who was wearing a black hat.

“Didn’t she tell you her name earlier?” The black hat beautiful man, Ye Zhu, said.

“I mean her full name. Can’t you tell?” Ronald asked.

“Dear friend, it might come as a surprise to you, but even with the time we took near her, I still couldn’t catch her name?” Ye Zhu answered in a rather dejected tone.

Ronald rubbed her temple, shock was written in his ocean blue pupils, intermingled with complex emotions of doubt, fury, interest and disbelief.

He couldn’t bring himself to understand why they couldn’t know Anita's full name.

The one sitting next to Ronald, the white leather jacket beautiful man, scrunched his brows. It was sure that he found it shocking enough.

“I didn’t get her name either,” Ronald’s deep voice echoed in the car. But that simple and familiar deep voice, now sounded like a thunderclap to the other two, jarring their ears.

“Let me check,” with that, Ye Zhu's body trembled and as if it was a hologram, it released glitching effects, turning into a streak of light, he whistles away through the little opening of the car's window.

"Will someone warn him that we are in the third planet?" The white leather jacket man asked looking at where the streak of light had disappeared.

"Wu Long," Ronald suddenly called out.

Wu Long shrank in his chair as he nodded releasing a sound barely louder than that of a mosquito.

"You are the genius one among the sons of King Father, and you were present when he was doing that. Will it be fair for others, if the disciplinary house let you go?' Ronald asked.

"My lips are sealed, second brother. Second brother is wiser…" Wu Long said, finishing with praise.

A streak of florescent lights arrived and settled on Ye Zhu's seat then solidified into his body.

"What did you find?" Ronald asked.

"She is Anita Bakers."

Silence rang after Ye Zhu's answer and Ronald's face darkened. "Is that all?" He asked.

"I couldn't get anything more than that. Something…in her blocks off my powers and the only smell I got from her is of her boyfriend. I can trace his smell tomorrow!" Ye Zhu said against the powerful momentum exuded by Ronald.

"If you can't find anything, then this earthling has to be dangerous. Mysterious is dangerous to me. You have to keep an eye on her!" Ronald growled

On the other side, Anita only only walked to her boyfriend’s car after seeing the tail lights of the dark Rolls Royce vanish behind the corridor to the entrance.

She looked at her phone’s screen and couldn’t help gasping at the time, “I am so late. So, what was I doing here if I will be asked? Lka! What a weirdo!”

She didn’t forget to curse the man after being hit by the realization of what to explain of her lateness.

She was upset as she bent into the car to get the gift. She couldn’t stand the kinds of that man. People who only thought that the world belonged to them once they had money and a tiny bit of strength.

Maybe it was because of his justified arrogance but Anita felt like it was an unlucky fate for them to meet.

Suddenly her hairs stood and she was startled to a quick standing. With the gift on her hand, she scanned the car.

Anita was always highly sensitive to animals and insects. Especially crawling insects. Her heart pounded in her chest.

‘Okay, It is official. I don’t use my brain anymore’ she scolded herself inwardly.

The man earlier as she believed was scarier than the crawling insects and incredibly dangerous, yet she could stand up foot against him.

Would he have a reason to laugh at her for being affected by tiny crawling animals?

Rolling her eyes at her unbelievable actions she shuts the door of the car, when a figure of a man is reflected from the window.

When she turned, she looked at the figure questionably. She clearly didn’t remember catching any sounds of footsteps.

The figure standing in front of her, with a tall coat with feathers on each shoulder, smiling at her. Anita raised a brow.

The man too was also unbelievably pleasant to the eyes. Was this her unlucky day? And what the hell was wrong with this place that all the men he encountered were beautiful and had a weird expression when they saw her.

Unlike the man earlier, this man was at least smiling despite the unbelief expression on his face.

“Hi, Miss Anita,” he grinned flashing his pearl white teeth that seemed unreal. He was cute but to Anita, that egomaniac, self centered, ruthless, cold-hearted man still showed him dust in terms of their looks.

“I am sorry to approach uninvited. Would you spare some minutes?”

“Who are you? I didn’t catch your name and you already know me. What do you want?” Anita asked honestly and without putting airs. The man was polite to her and she wasn’t going to be rude to him.

“Oh! My name doesn’t matter. I only sneaked to warn you about that cold-hearted man,” he moved closer to her and whispered kindly.

Anita squinted her eyes at him.Did he hear everything too and was hidden the entire time?

Was he the one who was summoned by that man, and instead due to her guilt, she exposed herself? Anita couldn’t help but think of different scenario to lead this man to her.

“Do you know him?” She asked. Anita was not letting her guard down.
