Hrolf stared at the guard's body laid over the slab in his morgue. His hands vibrated with anger because although he had run after the figure he saw, he couldn't catch up with it.A myriad of emotions swept through him. Why were strange things happening in his Pack? Ramon frowned slightly because he knew why Cassie had that look on her face. She was the culprit. But he wasn't going to let her take the fall. Instead, he was ready to do so for her. Memories of their time spent together ran through his mind and he shook his head to wipe them away. Hrolf turned his gaze from Ramon to Cassie wondering what they were doing. Ramon threw a glance at Cassie as he was being dragged away. This wasn't what he was expecting but he was being punished for what he knew nothing about.Hrolf's voice rang through his mind and he wondered if defending Cassie was worth it. Hrolf pulled open the door to the prison and stepped in. His heart hitched when he saw the guards lying down. "Are they dead?" Erik questioned. He bent down, placed a finger on their neck, and exhaled sharply. "They are not dead," he said to Hrolf. Hrolf stood at a corner of the room glancing at the prison. She had spat out words of insults on how she would make him pay for every tiny thing he had done to her before being dragged away. "You shouldn't have done that," Erik said. He knew Hrolf was under pressure because of all the strange happenings around the pack and needed to think properly. He stared at Gael who had tears in his eyes. He sat on his bed refusing his father's touch and talking about how much he hated him. Erik sighed heavily. Hrolf had made the wrong choice. He had. There was the opportunity of using Ashina's power as a healer to heal the guards and make them wake up quickly but he didn't. Instead, he had hurt the only person who could help them.
