Chapter Thirty Six

Erika's POV

I'm heading to Gerald's room but my heart won't stop from beating faster because I know whoever person looking out for him right now, he's not elated to see me. I'm expecting Gerald's father to be there but when I opened the door, my eyes exposed to nobody. I thought they hired someone to watch him, but it looks like nobody's in here.

I approached Gerald, where he's still sleeping and can hear the monitor that telling you he's alive and breathing. Then, I stand beside him to have a clear view. Seeing him in this kind of situation is heart broken, especially since Grayson did this to his own brother and they'll definitely blame me. However, I'm ready to face every blame they'll throw to me because I am guilty.

"What are you doing here?" Patricia inquired, so I looked at her and she just came out from the bathroom. I didn't hear the water running, maybe because my mind is occupied.

"You shouldn't be here. Enemies are not allowed to go into this floor, don't you now that?"
