THE PREACHER'S SON ✝

Richee Jay ✍🏽✍🏽

Episode Two

Victoria has been a nightmare for so long.

Clearly, she has been into me for a very long time. Longer than i could remember.

Unfortunately, I felt nothing for her. I guess she thought because I was a preacher's son, I didn't deal with relationships and stuff.

If only she knew!

She's a girl any normal guy would be attracted to in a blink of an eye, but not me.

Her constant trying to please me, disgust me everyday.

"What is it!" I snapped at her. I did that everyday she tries talking to me.

She didn't flinch this time. Guess she got used to it.

"You were sleeping during the sermon." She whispered.

"And how's that any of your business?" I asked rudely.

"You know it is my business." She said, winking. Disgusting me even more.

"You disgust me!" I had want to say that to her face.

"Get lost." I said instead.

"You wish!" She said, concentrating on the sermon, finally.

I thanked my stars and did same.

By now, Dad was done with the sermon and we stood up for the last prayer session before the benediction.

"Hold on, Victor." Mum stopped me from hopping into the car.

"Yes, mum." I answered.

"The Andrews are coming over for lunch, so we are going with them."

The Andrews were Victoria and her parents.

I looked over to Victoria and she gave me a wink and a disgusting smirk.

"Ahh!" I yelled in frustration, forgetting about mum's presence.

"Any problem?" Mum asked.

"No, mum. I'm fine." I replied, acknowledging her presence.

We stood by the car, waiting for Dad who was involved in a conversation with Mr. Andrew and few dignitaries.

"I'm afraid the Andrews ain't coming over anymore." Dad announced after the meeting.

I sighed silently in relief.

I turned over to Victoria, and I bet she got the same news too, because she wasn't looking really pleased.

Now, it was my turn to stick my tongue out with a victory smirk.

She walked into the church premises angrily.

Not that I cared anyways.

I turned to walk towards the car when I bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry." I apologize immediately, only to meet the eyes of my crush, since forever. Morgan!

"Let's go, Victor." Mum yelled from the car, interrupting my moment with Morgan.

"I'm sorry." I apologized one more time and hurried to the car.
