Chapter 37- A hard decision

Maureen had heard her sister was Kidnapped but there was nothing she could do. She fasted and prayed for her return. She was making plans on going to California to search for her, but going to California only means she's going to bump into Eric. And she would have to tell him the truth about Katrina.

Katrina told her she went there because of her, she went for revenge and when she's done, she's going to come home. Maureen decided to trust her.

She had stopped drinking as she was going back to her normal life before she met Eric.

Maureen was sitting on her bed in her one room apartment enjoying the cool night breeze when the guy that always gave her the current newspaper came by. He knocked on the door and she went to open it.

"Maureen, take a look at this. Katrina has been found " The guy announced.

"Really? " Maureen asked and grabbed the paper from him.

"Eric threw a party for her and guess what? They confessed their love for each other publicly" The guy said.
