Chapter Fifty Two.

Anastasia's POV.

In the dark, the air hits my face, hard. I cannot open my eyes. I am running too fast, unnatural, inhumanly, unknowingly. It is as though I am doing things without realization.

I cannot open my eyes as much as I attempt to. The wind is just too much, forcing me to leave it tightly shut because of fear of losing my sight. Then, it dawned on me when, all of a sudden, the flashy motion stops.

I open my eyes and find that my sight is fixated on a cliff, and even though I cannot see my body, I can tell that the end of the cliff is just ahead of my sight, and oh fuck, I am at its brink.

Inside me, I am wailing from the fear of falling, but at the same time, I felt an arm around me. There is a presence, and it seemed I am being carried by that body.

My own body is a disembodied nature.

Before I know it, the race begins, again and then, I figured that it is the person that is running, not me. Not me at all. The person is the non-human one here.
