Anastasia's POV.

Softly, my eyes open. I look around, and without any fear, I have recognized the room I am in. It is Nicholas's.

I look around as I sit up with my hands supporting my change of position. My body feels sick. I think I might have malaria, and honestly, right now, I won't mind getting anything to drink—something hot, though. In fact, I need tea so badly.

Having sat up and become comfortable, I stopped wandering my eyes and shifting my head from the left to the right the moment my sight zeroed in on Nicholas.

He is in the room. I swear, I wasn't expecting it. Of course, it is his room, but does he even stay there except for the nights, which aren't even compulsory for him?

I watch as he is asleep, or whatever it is they call it in the vampire language. He is slurping downwards such that his back is arched inside, and I am sure that for a human, they would have woken up in body pain from that position. I watch as his arms spread in
