Chapter 2: That Jerk

Twaine's Point of View :

I'm still restless because of what happened recently. Did Kyle see my naked body?

"God! No!" I suddenly shouted here in my room. I hate those cockroaches, they ruined me. Why did I grow up afraid of just a little cockroach? Ugh!

Kyle then saw my body. Yes, we're married, but even so! He shouldn’t have seen me naked.

I am Twaine Isabelle Montenegro-Mendez, the little wife of Kyle. I am 17 years old and a 2nd-year college student.

Since I couldn’t accept what had happened earlier so I left my room and went to Kyle’s room. I threw stones at the door of his room and kicked him out of annoyance.

"You bastard get out of there!" I shouted as the door of his room continued to slam.

"What the hell is your problem, little girl?" He suddenly appeared in front of me so I stopped crashing into his room because he came from the kitchen.

"Why did you peek at me?" I shouted at him while slapping his chest.

"I didn't mean that. Go to your room and sleep—"

"— so, you get a little taller." He added that annoyed me.

"Are you insulting me?" I asked him angrily.

"Are you insulted?" He answered me with a question. I slapped his chest even harder with my two hands.

"Will you stop or will I get you pregnant?" I was stunned by what he said. So I immediately removed my hands from his chest and immediately entered my room.

"Ugh! I hate you!" I shouted at him before finally entering my room.

"I hate you too!" He shouted back. Grrr! Why did that man even become my husband?

After I entered my room, my lampshade suddenly turned off, so my knees seemed to shake and I couldn't move.

"Ahh!" I shouted because of so much fear.

"Kyle!"

"Daddy!" I kept shouting because the light in my room was still off. I can't move to run out.

"Twaine—" I immediately hugged Kyle as he entered my room.

"I'm scared." I cried while still shaking in fear.

"Don't be scared, I'm just here," Kyle whispered to me while caressing my back and hair. Because of what he said I cried even more and hugged him tightly.

"You can sleep in my room again." He said. I just nodded and followed him.

"I'm going to sleep on the floor—"

"No! You can sleep beside me. I'm still scared." I told him. At the same time, I immersed my face in his chest.

"Are you sure you want me to sleep beside you?" He asked surprised. I just nodded.

"Okay, we'll be sleeping together in my bed." He whispered.

"Thank you." He just didn't say a word. He caressed my hair as I leaned on his arm. In that position, I feel very safe. Gradually, drowsiness also visited me so I closed my eyes.

Kyle's Point of View :

After I felt that Twaine was asleep I slowly removed her head from my arm. My arm felt aching because of the weight of this short girl's head. I also closed my eyes to sleep.

The next morning I woke up to Twaine. Well, again. That little girl was still asleep. I started preparing our breakfast and then I also took a shower and got dressed.

"Good morning!" Twaine greeted me.

"What a miracle—you woke up early?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Is it bad?" She asked pouting.

"Stop pouting, you still look like you're too short!" I pissed her off.

"Compared to the old monster?" She smiled and said once running inside the bathroom. I just sighed. She knows how to piss me off.

"Please just lock the house, and be careful going to school," I shouted at her at the door of the bathroom. She takes so long to take a shower, that's why I need to leave the house first, before her.

"Wait a minute, wait for me!" She shouted back.

"I can't wait for you anymore, Twaine, and we're not allowed to go together. All right, I'll go first." She didn't answer so I left the house.

When I arrived at school I was immediately greeted by Ms. Roxanne.

"Good morning Kyle." She smiled at me.

"Good morning Ms. Roxanne." I also smiled to greet her.

"Drop that Miss, just call me Roxanne." I just nodded.

"Can we have lunch together later?" She said.

"Why, aren't you with your friends?" I asked her.

"No, I don't have any friends here."

"Is that so? All right, if you want, we can be together." I was surprised by what I said.

"—every break time, I mean," I added.

"Sure, no problem." She said trying to hide her smiles.

After we talked, we also parted ways with Roxanne.

I met Twaine on my way to their classroom but she just stared at me emotionless.

"What's the problem then?" I just asked myself.

I went out of Twaine's classroom without her glancing at me because she was busy dealing with that Jeremy.

I just ignored her. Teenagers, nowadays.

"Kyle!"

"Oh, Roxanne." I greeted her.

"Let's go?" She asked.

"Okay."

Roxanne and I went to the cafeteria together. From there, my attention went to Twaine and Jeremy, they're together again. I just shrugged.

"That was a pain in my eyes." I just shook my head to avoid thinking of them.

After Roxanne and I had lunch, I went home. I'm only half-day now because I have something important to take care of in the office.

"Why are you already here?" I asked Twaine who seemed to be had just arrived as well.

"Don't talk to me." She said calmly.

"What is your problem?" I asked.

"None of your business." She said rolling her eyes at me. What's the problem with this kid?

"Okay. I'm leaving right away, too." I told her trying to ignore her sudden changes of behavior.

"Why, do you have a date?" I stopped and faced her. She sounds so different now.

"Nothing, I just have an important business to take care of," I answered her question.

"Okay. Have a safe trip." She said full of sarcasm.

I just ignored her. I just got dressed and went out right away.

"Are you going out too?" I asked her.

"Isn't it obvious?"

"—and you're wearing off-shoulder and shorts?" I asked annoyed.

"What is it to you?" What a stubborn.

"Twaine, get dressed!" I told her angrily.

"No!"

"Twaine!"

"Why are you interfering? Who are you in my life huh? You're not my Dad so don't dictate me!" She shouted at me. Seriously, Twaine?

"Don't yell at me!"

"You're there again! It's none of your business! what do I want to do? You're out in every decision what I wanted to do! You're just my husband in papers, Kyle!"

It was as if something hurt in my chest because of what she said.

"But you're my priority! But if you don't want me to interfere with you? Fine!"

Before I finally exploded I left the house. Why is this child stressing me out now? Damn!
