CHAPTER 2

That evening, Dino still hadn't returned her calls or texts, which made her restless. In fact, it appears that he even turned the phone off so that she could no longer get in touch with him.

She was still at home alone at nine o'clock in the evening, even though their parents had to be returning from Manila by then.

Because their home was too quiet, she became even more restless. She had given her decision from that evening a lot of thought. She made a decision and stood up from lying down.

She'll visit Dino's rented property. Dino's family was from the province, so his cousin was staying with him there. She is aware that every Saturday, his cousin, a student, leaves for home and comes back early on Monday. She was certain that Dino was by himself in their rental home.

She smiled, though the concept made her uneasy. She got ready and went to see him. She brushed her loose hair and covered her lips with thin lipstick and powder. She immediately left after being satisfied with her appearance.

She had exited the vehicle earlier and was now in front of the residence where Dino was staying. Her heart was thumping so hard. Despite knowing that she wasn't prepared for what she was about to do, she nevertheless wanted to get rid of her boyfriend's gloomy attitude. Because he had neglected her all night without even speaking to her, she could sense his intense displeasure.

She sighed once more before moving cautiously toward the rental home's door. They will continue to reside there when they get married. She doesn't mind because she is aware that they won't be able to find another rental home because they will spend all of their funds on the wedding.

She placed the key into the door knob while her hands continued to tremble. Since she frequently visits him there, Dino offered her a key. She entered gently after it was opened.

Dino wasn't in the home's modest living room, and the kitchen was far too quiet. She speculated that he might be sleeping in his room. Her heartbeat quickened. She resisted the temptation and has never gone into his room, not even once before. She barely glanced over there.

Her feet nearly balked at taking the step to enter the room. She didn't even appear to want to concede.

Are you really prepared to surrender yourself? She questioned herself anxiously.

She shook her head to dispel doubts. She was in front of his bedroom door and was about to open it when she suddenly stopped.

"Dino, oh my! A-alright! Ahhh!"

When she heard it, she shook. Wild growls kept repeating in her ears.

"I-I'm almost there! Here it is... "

When she heard Dino's voice, she silently screamed and quickly covered her mouth with one hand. She never makes mistakes because she knows his voice very well. She kept her hand over her mouth, oblivious to the rapid rush of huge tears from her eyes.

"Dinooohhh! P-pleaseee..."

When she also recognized the voice of the lady shouting her boyfriend's name, who was obviously in a hot situation, she tightly closed her eyes.

She keeps crying unceasingly. She still wanted to be certain, even if the discovery was about to kill her.

She raised one hand carefully to grasp the door lock. She even forced a strong swallow. She wants to witness the betrayal of those close to her with her own two eyes, despite the fact that she doesn't want to see what's happening inside that room.

The door was left ajar. Dino was resting on top of a woman when she saw him. Dino's motions accelerated on top of the woman, and she thought her ears were going to bleed from their screams of pleasure.

She suppressed her own audible sobs. She moved her feet on their own to move farther inside.

She wants to see the traitors' faces!

With tears in her eyes, she came to a stop at the side of the bed. She caught the woman's eye. She then proved that she was right in her suspicions.

Mhariel is the woman who is currently in bed with her fiancé, enjoying their blissful union.

When she saw her, her friend's eyes grew wide. While Dino was still standing on top of her, she swiftly shoved him away.

"D-don't stop me, Mhariel! I'm almost there!" The man complained, and he was still short of breath.

"Dino! Yazmin is here!" Again, Mhariel pushed her fiancé firmly.

She did nothing but remain motionless while gazing at the two. Suddenly, miraculously, her tears ceased.

When Dino turned to face her from where she was standing, she could see the fear and trepidation on his face.

"Y-yaz?"

He hurriedly climbed off of Mhariel, and as he stood up to approach her, he appeared to have forgotten that he was naked. She looked away from his nakedness right away. She had never actually seen the bare body of her boyfriend.

Mhariel is fortunate and appears to have gotten used to seeing her fiancé's body.

Ex-fiancé!

Because of what she saw, she has no desire to keep their marriage going.

She swiftly swung around, so Dino couldn't touch her. Because she despises him, she does not want him to touch her.

"Let me explain, Yaz. Please..."

She hurried out of the room and out the door, out of the house. Dino was going to follow her outside when he realized he had nothing on, so he just remained in the doorway and called her name.

"Yaz!"

She gave the man no attention at all. She got a ride home right away and left that place. She immediately returned to their home and isolated herself in a room. So that Dino couldn't call her, she instantly turned off the phone.

She was in a daze and just stared at the ceiling, replaying the scene she had seen earlier. Her brain appeared to be floating, as if her tears had abruptly stopped flowing. She raised an eyebrow at her hanging wedding gown.

She abruptly got to her feet and took the white garment off the rack. She instantly let all of her rage out there. She tore the sleeves to pieces by pulling them. She yelled and yanked the entire outfit till it was shredded. She grabbed a pair of scissors to rip the outfit into pieces because she wasn't really satisfied yet.

She sat on the floor as well, as it finally split into numerous pieces and fell to the ground. Then her tears came back. She suddenly started crying. Fortunately, her parents still haven't arrived.

She didn't care if she was sobbing aloud that she sounded like a butchered animal. She wants to let out all of her misery. She didn't want to conceal the fact that she felt like she was going to die of sadness. She cried aloud for about an hour as well.

"Y-yaz..."

When she heard Dino's voice calling from outside her bedroom door, she halted.

"Yazmin, my daughter?" She heard her mother.

She was unaware that her parents had already gone back to their house. Because of them, Dino was able to enter their home. They kept calling her out of her room, and she bit her bottom lip to contain a sob.

Dino's voice pleaded, "Let's talk, please."

She remained still. She wished to avoid seeing his face.

"Open the door, Yazmin!" Her father gave her a firm command.

She had occasionally been terrified of her father, but she wasn't now. She is suffering more than any other emotion, in her opinion.

"Dino, what just happened?" She overheard her mother asking Dino.

"Let's first speak with Yazmin, Tita. Once we've sorted everything out, I'll explain."

"Yazmin!" Her father yelled at her.

Without emotion, she just stared at the closed door of her room. When they still didn't want to stop, she spoke.

"Then let's talk, Dino, but just leave me alone tonight." Her voice was calm when she spoke.

Everything was quiet outside. After a while, Dino answered.

"Okay, Yaz. Let's talk tomorrow. Take it easy. We'll fix it." Dino's voice was hopeful.

She let out a soft laugh at what she had heard.

Fix it?

She turned to look at her wedding gown's broken pieces on the floor.

When you can put that outfit back together, Dino, we'll be able to fix this, she muttered to herself.

She didn't respond to him. She simply got up from the floor and walked over to her bed. She covered herself with a blanket and lay down with a blank expression.

Dino whispered, "Yaz, I love you."

"Dino, I'm sorry about my daughter. I'll speak with her later to offer you her apologies." She heard her father speaking.

"I'm grateful, Uncle. Let her rest for now. Tomorrow, we'll talk." Dino said softly, as though he were innocent.

"Oh! I find her to be incredibly frustrating!" Her father spoke in an irate manner.

Dino did not respond to him. He didn't even attempt to soothe her father's hostility. It's as though he simply let her parents believe that she was at fault.

She draped a blanket over her face. She no longer wished to think. Thankfully, they dispersed and left her in peace.
