End of Their Journey

Elizabeth’s POV

I don’t know I just said that out aloud until he replies, “you’ll see when we get there.”

Throughout the journey to wherever it is that we are headed, my heartbeat doesn’t stop beating fast.

The farther we are away from his mansion, the scarier and anxious I become.

Is he going to sell me off?

I look back through the back window, there’s no convoy behind us.

We are alone.

I’m silent yet very nervous with loads of thoughts running through my mind as I’m seated still, praying inwardly.

After what seems about an hour, I look out through the window and unexpectedly, the buildings and streets we drive past seem

familiar.

Soon, we arrive in front of an extremely familiar building. And it’s at this moment it suddenly dawns on me; he’s brought me home.

Ethan has brought me home!

I find it hard to believe.

‘Wait, what?’ I blink my eyes hard just to be sure I’m not dreaming.

I really am not dreaming.

Tearing my gaze away from my apartment’s building, I turn to look at Ethan
