By the time Audrey and Carla shifted into their wolf forms and started to return to the pack house, it was late and Tim saw them safely to the pack house. They thanked him and went their way and he went back to the bar where he was sure something was going to happen.***When Audrey woke up the next day, the sun was streaming into her room from the tiny space between the curtains. She sat up in bed and rubbed her sleep swollen eyes. She would have to do all she had to do in preparation for the night party she was to attend with Carla at the werewolf bar downton later that night. She was up in a jiffy and started on her daily activities.**** Ron was again reminded of the invitation to the party that was to hold later that evening by his Beta, Robert. "You had accepted to be in attendance, remember that?" Robert had asked when he had frowned about the reminder."Well, I could not exactly say no, right? Besides, I had been in too good a mood to have declined the offer. I took it but
Audrey was alone after Johnson left her room. She had a few dresses that had been laid out for her and she went through them fastidiously, but was still uninterested in all of them. There was a knock soon on the door and she jumped because she had been engrossed in the examination of the dresses. She reached the door and opened it. "Yes?" She said as she opened the door to the maid who had a dress in her hand and a broad smile on her face."My lady, the luna asked that I deliver this dress to you and see that you wear it because she says you will look better in it than in any other dress laid out for you," she said still wearing the smile. Audrey nodded and opened the door properly for the maid to come in with the dress."Did my mother know that I might not even like the dress?" Audrey muttered as she collected the dress from the maid and looked to over. It was totally revealing. Not like the same dresses that she wore..she stood looking at it with her mouth slightly parted when the
Robert watched in amusement for a few minutes before stepping out of the car."Why do you want to drive though?" He asked at last as he stepped out from the driver's seat and let him go inside."I want to drive because I feel in the mood for it." He replied stiffly. Robert wondered why he was infuriated but did not ask him. He got in the the driver's seat and Robert walked to the other side of the car. The ladies were silent back in the car as he stepped in. "You two ladies stun me. You are more beautiful than the mermaids if they exit!"Robert complimented the ladies again as he sat in the car."That's a lot, thanks, Robert," Audrey said while Carla giggled. Ron was seething inside. How come he was always disoriented when she was around? She had walked down there and he had felt different as she stepped into the car. Now he was going to drive to distract him from the riot in his head. He started the car and drove away. Audrey was still wondering why they were all headed the s
They were saying all the good things about him and they had no idea it made her even more angry. Audrey knew Carla had not meant to exaggerate and she was not supposed to be angry that the conversation was suddenly about Ron who had made it a point to ignore her. Not like she was disappointed, she had not expected him to talk to her anyways and she was taking it with good grace until the conversation had suddenly started to revolve around him. She was uncomfortable and Robert did not seem to notice..she soon stopped contributing to the discussion and then Robert stopped."What is wrong, my lady? Are you anxious to reach the party?" He asked. Audrey forced a tight smile and shook her head. Of course she was not anxious to reach the party but anxious to step out of the car with Ron's eyes _ which she assumed will be on her. Or maybe he will not even look at her since he was trying so hard to not talk with her. "I am not anxious, Robert. I am perfectly okay and in good spirits," she s
Audrey watched as the man took Carla up into the dancefloor and they began to twirl away. She was tipsy. She continued to laugh.Ron's eyes was on them. He was watching her and at the same time watching Carla with the austere gaze of his that always kept him from speaking. She did not mind. Each time his eyes rested on her, she leaned more into her dance partner even when the occasion did not call for it. She knew he did not like the show and doing what he did not like at that moment pleased her. She was going to keep it up."What is your name?" The young man asked her in the most seductive manner she had ever heard and she replied, slurring her words..."I am Audrey and what is your own name?""I'm Thomas but my friends enjoy calling me Tom. You can call me Tom too, beauty," he said.. she turned to look at him and he was biting his lips, his eyes on her breasts.. she felt hot suddenly. The other dancers had steadily circled them and she could no longer see Ron or Carla or even Rob
Ron stood out in the cool night air with Robert by his side. He was afraid and worried that she might not be a good enough driver and as such, might be risking her life and that of Carla. He blamed himself for everything and snapped at Robert for letting Audrey take the keys from him."I had thought it would be possible we go with them," Robert said in his defence."Wether or not we go with them is not the issue at hand.. what I am saying is, she might not even be a good enough driver, Robert!"Ron yelled. He was right. She was not a good enough driver and that bothered him as he raked his hand in his perfect hair but an idea struck him. He went back inside and came out with the keys to someone else's car. He climbed into the car and Robert hopped in. They were on their way soon and his heart was thumping fast. " I'm sure they are safe and that is what matters at this point. Maybe you should let me drive since you are nervous and terribly jittery," Robert said. Ron did not reply him.
Ron did not let her slam the door in his face. He stuck out one leg and kept the door ajar. She gasped."Why on earth are you here? I just told you we are absolutely fine!" Audrey snapped. She knew he would be offended being the proud and arrogant person he was but she was least concerned about that. She wanted him to leave and she hoped he was mad enough to but he did not."I don't know why you choosed to leave like that knowing that you are not even a good driver_""Well I'm home and safe and that does not exactly make me a bad driver, Ron..and yes, Carla is fine. She is without a scratch so can you let me shut my door now?"Audrey demanded. Ron was calm. He knew she was angry and he had no desire to aggravated issues by arguing with her."Okay, fine. You are not even a bad driver but I got so worried that I had to lend a car and come after you two. I was damn worried." She rolled her eyes and as he took his leg back, she slammed the door in his face. Ron was there for minutes mor
She was still by the mirror, recounting the experiences of the past night when the door flew open."What on earth, you have been by that mirror since I was gone? Get your boots tied up let's go out to the others!"Carla commanded as she walked into the room. Audrey had no idea how much time she had spent."Wait, that was really fast of you. You just stepped out right?" She asked Carla. "Well I did not travel to another pack to get my sword!" Carla said. " Please get dressed up and let us leave.. we are really late and I'm sure everyone is already there."As Audrey bent to tie her boots, she thought of telling Audrey that she had changed her mind about coming for the training but changed her mind comforted by the fact that she would at least be there with Carla and not just make Arrogant strides there alone. She finished and they left, walking as fast as their legs could and running when they had to. True to their thoughts, everyone else had been assembled there and they knew what tha
