In the end, Leigh ditched the meeting with Rocky.
The reason? She was so dizzy from lack of sleep.
“Just stay here, and I will tell your professors that you were sick. I will also tell Angelino that you couldn't come to work today.” Sam advised.
Leigh, too fuzzy in the head, nodded. She was holding the blanket under her chin while she watched Sam leave their room, locking it from the inside.
The minute Sam walked out the door, Leigh got up. She wanted to go back to sleep, but ditching Rocky bothered her. Half expecting him to retaliate, she purposely left her phone dead to shut him off.
Without thinking, she searched the bed for her phone. When she had it in her hands, she debated whether to open it or not.
Her head turned sideways and that was when she noticed a silver thing atop Sam’s well-made bed and shook her head.
In her haste, Sam has left her key.
