omg, they are finally engaged!!!
Tristan came to Clarice's office unexpectedly. He had come to ask Clarice to dinner, not caring if she had accepted Joshua as her future husband. Clarice stopped in the middle of her shift and saw Tristan standing there. She hurriedly approached him and looked to her right and left, afraid that Joshua or anyone else was watching her. "Tristan? How did you get here?" Clarice asked. "Would you like to have dinner with me, Clarice?" asked Tristan without answering Clarice's question. Clarice couldn't give an answer when she was so nervous. Although all she had to do was answer whether she wanted to or not. Unfortunately, Clarice had to decline Tristan's invitation since Joshua was bound to show up suddenly. "Sorry, I can't. I have an appointment with Joshua, Tristan," Clarice finally replied. "Again? Does that man give you no freedom at all? Clarice, we used to enjoy our time together, you know, right?" Clarice nodded her head. Of course, she knew. Those few weeks with Tristan w
"We're up to you because you insisted on marrying that woman," Terry said, resigned. He didn't even mention Clarice's name, but rather 'that woman' which referred to something very bad, showing that Terry really didn't want to have a daughter-in-law like her. Clarice’s throat constricted, wanting to cry. Clarice felt unappreciated in that house, and she wanted to go home and complain to whoever she could find. But she realized that she had no one but Tristan and Joshua. Ah, Tristan didn't even count, until she realized again that Joshua was the only one on her side at the moment. Clarice admitted that, although Joshua's attitude seemed to dominate and control her, he was the one who truly appreciated her and loved her with all his heart for all these years without a single drop. "Terry, I have a name," Clarice said, trying to be brave. She didn't want to be belittled by anyone, even though she might be guilty of Joel's death, but her intentions were noble and she didn't want any
"Hmm, it feels better. But I'm sleepy," Clarice said, her voice sounding soft. Joshua released the hug. He kissed Clarice on the forehead before letting her sleep on her own bed. "Sleep well, then." Clarice crawled onto her bed. But strangely, she didn't see Joshua follow her, instead, he stood where he was, looking at her. "What? Aren't you coming to bed?" "I need to check my work from my phone first. So, you go to sleep." Clarice mumbled and began to tuck herself in. She was facing to the left, where she didn't have to feel Joshua's gaze that was still gripping her. She swallowed, trying to close her eyes as her sleepiness ebbed and flowed. Hearing the footsteps of shoes moving away from her room, she opened her eyes slightly and saw Joshua's shoulder who had disappeared out of her room. It felt really strange to think about Joshua's increasingly gentle demeanor toward her. From what Clarice knew, he was very rigid and really cold, but ... "Ah, why should I think about th
Joshua's touch has become more intense since Clarice became his girlfriend. He didn’t feel embarrassed at all even if he just hugged her or kissed her neck and lips. Perhaps it would have been different if the man was Joel. Sadly, he was now replaced by Joshua, who was bolder and more in control of herself. She looked into the mirror at Joshua who was still hugging her from behind, kissing her neck. "I can't use your money," Clarice said, replying. "Why not?" "Doesn't that mean I'm a material woman?" "I don't care, Baby. Ah– why do you smell so good? Are you wearing a lot of perfume on purpose to tease me?" Clarice felt nervous. She had never felt like seducing someone just by wearing perfume. But it was her habit to spray perfume on certain spots on her body. "Th–this is a normal thing to do! And I'm not teasing you!" protested Clarice. Joshua quickly turned Clarice around. He looked at her closely and inhaled the scent that he could smell from Clarice's body, which was so clos
After Joshua drove Clarice to her office and left, Clarice was surprised by Tristan's presence for the umpteenth time. He was not at all tired of seeing Clarice when earlier at the apartment, Clarice could not see him at all because of Joshua. They stared for a long time until Tristan finally spoke. "Are you going to skip work today?" Tristan asked."Don't be crazy, if Joshua finds out, I'll be the one in trouble!" said Clarice in an indifferent tone."Please, Clarice. At least give me time so you can choose between me and Joshua. I also promise, every time we meet, he won't know."His plea would benefit none of them at all because Clarice would choose Joshua anyway. Not because she loved him, but because Joshua was the one who could do many things in her life, whether it was bad or not. Furthermore, she accepted him because she wanted to make amends with Joel."That won't work, Tristan. You'll be useless if you ask me to reconsider. My answer will remain the same. I will still choose
His meeting with his mother did not make him feel completely fine. Even though Terry had left, he was still in a bad mood. It took him a few hours in his office to calm down until he had calmed down enough to start feeling hungry. His high emotions often made him feel hungry, so much so that he even had to look for a restaurant that could serve the menu he wanted. Unfortunately, Joshua didn’t even have a chef that he can rely on, except for Clarice. Even though Clarice wasn't a chef, Joshua recognized how good his girlfriend's cooking was a long time ago, a long time before Clarice became his girlfriend. And even now, it wasn't until this morning that he felt her cooking, in person in front of him, was good again. "That means I should call her and bring her home to cook something for me," he said, mulling over the idea. But Joshua already had an inkling that Clarice would be annoyed at him for interrupting her work just to cook for him. And he knew that what Clarice wanted was to a
"You know about that too apparently," Clarice retorted."It's not hard to find out about you. Just don’t underestimate me. And I also know what made you end up drinking coffee."Clarice chose to remain silent because they both knew what made Clarice drink coffee. And of course, it had something to do with Joel. Joshua smiled wryly at Clarice's expression of not looking at him when they talked about coffee. But again he tried not to think about things that would make him go back to being in a bad mood."Can you choose the delicious menu for me?" asked Joshua. He wondered if Clarice knew him like he knew her or not. Because at least they had been in the same situation even if it was with a family gathering."Ah– that," Clarice looked surprised, then she reached for the menu and nodded her head, "I'll pick something for you then."Joshua leaned back straight. His arms crossed over his chest again, watching Clarice without even blinking. He was always in awe of Clarice from every angle.
Clarice bit her lip. She really didn't know that her question wasn't about Joshua's personality, but about what she was really curious about. But like it or not, damn– what Joshua said was right, that she was curious. She wanted to know about Joshua's experience and she also didn't realize the part about his sexual activity.Damn! He must think that I'm a pervert! Her mind, speaking.Meanwhile, Joshua, who was still holding Clarice on his lap, smiled at the expression on his woman's face. He again won the situation that could make Clarice shut up with a blush that could not make him hold back the turmoil of love."But, do you mind if you tell me about it?" Clarice asked."I don't mind. But not in a place like this."Clarice swallowed. "Then, where?""Where it's just the two of us. Well, I want you to eat first since you already fed me."Joshua easily put Clarice down, leaving Clarice with a gasp of surprise and a heart that was beating hard again. She sat back in her chair, trying to
