21–26 minutes -ANNA- So, in between leaving the diner and driving home, Aunt Zelda called to invite Lucifer and I to dinner tonight. -Lucifer- It has been two days since finding Anna. The informant had come through, as I knew she would. I can’t help licking my lips as I remember the taste of Anna’s blood. It was sweet...addictive. 22–28 minutes -LUCIFER- I waited until the last five minutes of Anna’s shift before walking outside to lean against the black mustang parked by the side of the diner. I watch as the blonde exits the diner, making her way towards me. She’s wearing a black leather jacket instead of the waitress apron this time. 14–17 minutes -ANNA - I push the gas pedal down more as I speed down the road towards the high school, cursing myself for forgetting to set my alarm last night. It wasn’t until Aunt Beatrice knocked on my door that I had woken up this morning. By the time I would make it to the building, my first period would be almost over. I hit the steering wheel with my hand in anger. “COME ON!” I yell at the old man in the beaten up pickup truck that pulled out in front of me. I literally want to beat my head against the steering wheel as the old man drives ten under the speed limit. I know! 20–25 minutes -ANNA- I hurry through the maze of tables and students trying to make it to the table that Samantha, Gwen, and Harley are sitting at with Lucifer on my heels. I can already feel the cold sweats starting and the fatigue hitting me. “Anna!” I hear the demon call from behind me. Ignoring him, I finally make it to the table. I almost drop my tray in the process and throw myself into a chair. With shaky hands, I grab one of the chocolate milks on my tray, open it and begin chugging it. Once it’s empty, I slam it down on the table. “Wow! You look like s**t!” I hear Gwen comment, her hazel eyes giving me a look over. I only nod in agreement before grabbing one of the two turkey sandwiches on my tray and start scarfing it down. “Anna?” I hear Lucifer call my name again as he sits down in the vacant chair next to me. I look up at my friends that are staring at me wide eyed as I continue to devour the sandwich in my hands. “Is this stress eating? Or you lost control eating?

23–29 minutes -ANNA- I let out a heavy sigh as I gaze up at the full moon and stars from my position on top of the mausoleum roof. This was my and Liam’s usual spot to meet when we wanted to talk and not be interrupted. It was about an equal distance from both our homes and nobody really came to a graveyard at night...maybe an occasional witch or vampire but it was rare. I lay down, closing my eyes and placing my hands behind my head. I knew my days in The Mortal Realm were numbered now that I was officially the mate of Lucifer. He would be dragging me down to Hell at some point to rule our kingdom. Ridiculous. I’m not even eighteen yet. Plus, what do I know about being a queen? Let alone know about ruling over Hell and The Underworld? And he wants babies...I’m not ready for that, to be a young mother. How many kids is he talking about? One? Two? Twenty? I know some types of demons prefer large families. Does he expect me to be a stay at home mom? And have a dinner plate in my hand
