Beatrice POV
Two weeks have passed since I started working at Alcantara Company as Storm's secretary and the only thing I can say is that the core of my boss's behavior is bad, not a day goes by that he doesn't hate me but even so, I'm getting used to it I'm with him too. Maybe this is the reason why no one stays with him for long because he gets hot-tempered quickly especially when you do something wrong at work and I can't blame him knowing that he is just taking care of their company.
I'm still happy somehow because I've been with my friend Nicole for a long time, we haven't had any communication since we moved house and fortunately she also works here so somehow I know someone. As for my mother, she was operated on a week ago with the help of Sir Storm because he spent everything in the hospital, so I need to fix my job because I owe him a lot. If it wasn't for his help, maybe what would have happened to my mother. For now he still remains in the hospital because it is still necessary.
Sometimes I wonder if she and Kiara are really siblings because she is kind but her older brother is not, I just think that maybe she is just going through something or maybe she just inherited something.
I remembered again what happened one day just because of coffee he scolded me.
FLASHBACK...
I entered the office early to arrange the schedule of my boss, who was conceived out of spite, later he arrived so I stood up and greeted him but he just nodded at me and went straight inside his office so I just continued what I was doing until he called me to send coffee inside so I immediately followed him.
When I finished the coffee, I knocked on the door of his office and then entered. I caught him seriously typing on his laptop so I just walked up to him.
"This is your coffee, sir." I promised and placed it on his table.
He nodded and took it then drank it to see if his face changed.
"What coffee is this? Did you put cream on or not?" he asked me.
"I didn't add cream Sir because you might not like it." I answer you.
"Are you stupid? I wish you had asked me before you brought me the coffee!" he snorted.
I was surprised by the rise in his voice. Am I stupid? I can punch him. "Sir, when you called, you didn't complete what you just said I'll bring you coffee, I know you don't want it without cream. It's a trend to say." I promised and tormented him.
"So you're saying it's my fault? If you don't want to be stupid, you should have asked first, if you're not sure about something, ask before you do it, don't be a hero."
I raised an eyebrow at him. "You insulted me so much! I'm not your boss, you have the right to tell me that! Okay, sorry if I got your coffee wrong, don't worry, next time it'll be fine." I know.
"Good to hear that, you can go back to your work now."
I sighed before turning back. Letse man, if you weren't handsome I might have hit you.
But I hadn't opened the door when he called me again so I faced him again. "What again?"
"You forgot this, do you think I'll drink it?" he said smiling.
I then took the coffee and marched out of his office and returned to my table, I hadn't been sitting for a few minutes when I heard his angry voice calling me again. I stood up again and then went inside.
"What do you need Sir?" I asked him.
"Where is my new coffee?" he said with raised eyebrows.
"You didn't tell me to bring you a new one!" I'm losing patience.
"I told you to bring me coffee right? And you brought the wrong mixture so that means you have to make a new one. Don't be stupid Bea."
I raised an eyebrow at him. "I'm not going to guess, Sir, I'm sure you still want coffee. You're crazy!"
"Are you angry? Maybe you're forgetting that I'm your boss and it's your job to follow my orders."
"And also arrange it because not all of your employees know what's going on in your mind." I'm so annoyed.
"Whatever, it's better if you just buy me a coffee outside of this company."
I sighed and turned away from him. I don't want to fight with him anymore and maybe later he will find me and fire me.
I would have left suddenly if I thought I didn't have any money so I marched back to his office.
"What now?" he asked me.
I extended my palm to him. "The money is mine, I don't have anything to pay for your coffee." I promise.
"Are you that poor that even if you buy coffee you don't have anything?" he will mock.
"Money is important to us even if it's a coin and another thing is that you might not pay me when I use my money, that's a waste." I said
He shook his head and then took money from his wallet and gave it to me. I smiled sweetly at him and then walked out of his office.
END OF FLASHBACK...
Little by little, I got used to his behavior because even though I had only been working with him for two weeks, there wasn't a day that we didn't yell at each other. There are times when I can't help myself and answer him, but when I see that he's angry or something, I'm seriously silent.
Nigel POVI'm here today in the company of my best friend Storm, I just came back yesterday from abroad because I was attending to something there. I stayed there for almost a few months and just now came home.I was approaching his office when I saw the woman I didn't know, it looked like she was his new secretary, I approached her to ask if her boss was inside."Hi Miss." I congratulate you.He looked up at me. "Good morning Sir, do you need anything?" he asked politely."Is your boss here?"He nodded. "He's inside, do you have an appointment with him?"I shook my head. "I'm his best friend." I introduced him."Oh, I see, I'm sorry, I'm new so I don't know you. Just go inside and he'll be there."I just smiled at him and went straight inside. I caught up with Storm who was sitting in front while focusing on her phone."It seems that the CEO of Alcantara is not busy right now." I said laughing. It looked at me. "Gago! When did you come?" he asked."Just yesterday." my short answer."
Beatrice POV It's Saturday today and I don't have work so I'm here today at the hospital and watching over my mom, I'm happy because she's recovering little by little and I know that her life is no longer in danger. "I think you are thinking deeply." I looked back at my mother when she said this. "I'm just happy because you're doing well." I promise. She smiled at me. "And that's because of you son, without you I would probably be dead a long time ago." "Don't talk like that! I can't be alone yet." I know. "Anyway, how are you doing at work?" "I'm fine, I'm lucky in my job now because even though I didn't graduate, I was hired by that company and even became the CEO's secretary. I owe a lot to their brothers and sisters because they helped me to save your life." I said "Thank you, thank you for everything you have been doing for our family since then." "You guys are my responsibility, especially since we're the only ones left together. Maybe if dad was still alive we'd be happ
Kiara POVI just left the hospital because I visited Beatrice's mother and another one knows if she is there because she is not working at the company right now. To this day, I still can't stop laughing at his stories with me, it looks like my brother has found a match.I can't blame my brother for why he is like that, I know that until now he is still mourning. He is still longing for their presence and I'm the same even though I haven't been with them for a long time, how much more can my brother do. He didn't even know if he was still hurt even now even though it was a few years ago.He was okay somehow when he met Ate Kaye, I thought they would end up together but it turned out not because he chose to leave my sister. I witnessed how my brother's life became miserable when he and Ate Kaye broke up, but what I know now is that he is okay somehow. When I left the hospital, I saw Nigel leaning against his car and it looked like he was waiting for me. He is my brother's best friend an
Nigel POVWhile I was talking to Kiara, she just kept her head down and didn't even say a word, this is how she is when I speak seriously even if she is a brat sometimes, she knows how to listen to what is being said to her."Babe?" I called her name to get her attention. She looked at me. "I-i'm sorry," she exclaimed weakly."I'm not mad at you okay? I'm just mad at what you're doing and I don't want that to happen again, especially since I'm here again." I promise."W-what do you mean?""What kind of question is that? Of course, I'll take back what's mine," I said. She didn't answer right away and just kept looking at me so I ruffled her hair. "I told you the last time we talked that we will fix our misunderstanding right?" I said."I thought you would never come back to me.""Who said that? You know I love you." I said.I took one of her hands and put the ring on her finger causing her to cry all the time."I had that ring made to replace the first one I gave you." I smiled. She qu
Storm POVI went to the bathroom to calm myself because of the frustration I am feeling now because Beatrice didn't remind me of the meeting I had today with one of my investments. So I can't help but feel frustrated."You've been working here for two months, haven't you? And I always remind you that all my schedules should be arranged by you! What's so hard to understand?" I snort at her."And I've told you several times, Sir, yesterday I reminded you of that meeting. I didn't know you weren't listening and you didn't keep it in your mind.""You're going to blame me now? You're my secretary, that's just your job. Yesterday was different from today and you must remind me again! Do you know how important that client is? And because of your stupidity, I lost it!" I shouted at her."I doing my job properly and how many times I have told you that I already reminded you about that meeting earlier, so it's not my fault anymore that you forgot it,""No matter what you say, that thing can't d
Beatrice POVI just arrived here at the hospital to look after my mother. Until now, the words my boss said to me have not disappeared from my mind. He is right, I shouldn't have answered him like that because I owe him a lot because he was the reason why my mother is still alive.I don't know why he behaves like that because his sister Kiara is kind, maybe one person doesn't have the same behavior even if they are siblings. I just hope he learns to laugh at least once."Bea, is there a problem?"I looked at my mother when she suddenly spoke and I immediately shook my head, "Nothing, there's just too much work done in the office." my answer."Maybe you are tiring yourself out too much or your boss is making you do a lot,""My work in the office as a secretary is easy, I just manage my boss's schedule," I promise."Is your boss treating you well?""Sometimes he's kind and sometimes not. I can't blame him because his company is also important to him and one more thing I know is that whe
Storm POVIt's Monday but I'm still at home. My sister left early because she and Nigel were going somewhere. I'm happy that they get back together.I just finished taking a bath because I'm planning to visit my parents today. It's been a month since I last visited them because I've been busy with the company and a lot of meetings. When I finished getting ready, I took my wallet and car keys and left the room. First I drove to a flower shop and bought fresh flowers that were my mother's favorite. It didn't take long before I reached where my parents were and opened the gate. I placed the flower I brought in front of their tombstone and sat next to it."Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! How are you there in heaven? Are you happy together? I am working hard for the company and until now Alcantara is still at the top, while the cafe and boutique are also extremely successful because of Kiara," I said."We know how hard you worked for those things and we will take good care of it. We will a
Kiara POVThe smile that was plastered on my face disappeared when my brother left. I can't be sad in front of him because I don't want to add to the pain he harbors every time this day comes. I know that he misses our parents so much that he always spends his time working so that he doesn't think about them.I admit that I'm also hurting because I grew up without our parents, but because my brother was there, he made me feel that nothing was missing, even though I never saw Mom and Dad. I'm still happy because my brother takes care of me, he protects and loves me wholeheartedly. But I can measure the pain he is feeling right now, since he told me how amazing our parents are, especially what they both went through. My brother is close to both of them so I can't blame him for why he is still hurting now. He spent more time with them and got used to being with the two so he didn't think that we would lose them soon. I was just a baby at that time so I wasn't naive about what was happe
