She hiccuped again as tears from her big hazel eyes cascaded down her wet pink cheeks. She closed her eyes with an inhale of short breath, still replaying what happened an hour ago in her room.

He was there. He was there to take her back but she refused. How badly she wanted him to be single before he decided to come back to her, only she knew this. Just someone else’s forced presence between them was keeping her away from him.
